Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

You already bought all of the books?

No, I had already got a cheap dosage calculation book off amazon, but it had good reviews. It was like 2bucks LOL.

ISBN 9780133940718. I used it for my NUR1142 class

Does anyone remember if we need access codes for any of our classes? I'm planning on renting my books from chegg as it's like $121 vs whatever the bookstore was charging.

Oh btw the crotch length on those pants from the bookstores are hilarious!! They look like hammer pants on me and to get them to a normal position I'd end up pulling them up all the way under my boobs :roflmao: ( size medium no less)?!

:nurse: Also if anyone was interested, I'm thinking it would be nice if I could meet up with a few of you for whatever is left of December to review A&P, math, and chp 1 fundamentals or anything really. I'm not a morning person at all and would like to get used to waking up early for classes. So anyone in? I'm planning on starting Monday, be there from 7am til 2pm medical campus. LOL we'll keep each other accountable :x3: and begin the semester off to a good start.

Congrats all prospective MDC student nurses. I just passed my HESI exit exam, and I am graduating from MDC. If anyone is interested I have some books and I have the lab skills bag for sale.

Woot great :) Monday I'll be sitting in the courtyard with a sign that says "Nurses Spring 2016" for anyone that wants to join. Just come find me. Err I kinda look like betty boop? Hope that helps.

I know someone asked about the access codes and I was hoping someone could answer it, I found my books online so they lack an access code. But if it's mandatory then I'll just buy the access code, but in any case, are they mandatory?
