I just wanted to start a thread for people interested in the MDC nursing program for fall 2012. I think if you shared your scores (TEAS V & GPA) and what track your applying to (full-time or part-time), it will give everyone an idea of where they stand.
I will start:
I have a 3.7 GPA and an 81% on the TEAS and looking to apply for the part-time program. I have the option of taking the TEAS 2 more times which I will be doing :)
Hi there, try dealoz.com and ABEbooks.com I bought most of my books there. I already received my Fundies book. There prices are way more of a bargain that the conventionals.
I'm not sure if it comes with the digital copy, however, I remember a question was asked. Is there a difference between the 7th and 8th? he said that it was just the e-book. If that's the case, then the e-book for for the 7th edition is available on the publisher's site. I HIGHLY doubt it's an ebook, as they can be *easily* cracked, and shared. It's most likely a flash based web book, which really will only benefit laptops and those with Android tablets/phones. I wouldn't really consider the Laptop access a huge plus, but I suppose it's better than nothing. Perhaps they offer an app to access the web content. Who knows. I'll take the book though. Better on the eyes. :)
hello again all, nice seeing you at orientation and ATI test, well it seems the amazon fundies book from what ive been researching does NOT have the cd included, if you find one that does online let me know.
Also, the ATI Nurse Logic 2.0 and Achieve modules for homestead students is not yet avalable, we spoke with romalia oliver and she stated we would get an email when it goes up.

Those questions were so funny!I checked in the bookstore to see if they had uniforms and books and such and they didn't so it looks like we will for sure have to head up to medical for that :-(On another note, I stopped by UA to price pants, shoes, steth, etc and found out MDC students get 10% off and buttersoft brand (super nice) scrubs will be on sale 15% off towards the end of the month thru August.Does anyone remember how much the pants are in the bookstore?
They were $30-something if I remember correctly. Are they the same color?? How much are they at UA? For tops, we'd still have to get the logo put on :/
They averaged around $19.99. I plan on getting my top from the bookstore first and then going to UA to match up the colors. They had a huge variety of colors so I'm pretty sure I can find a match.
