Hi Canelaw99, Go Cannes!!! Anyways, want to go on the metro? Im considering it, its going to be crazy traffic!!! You get off at the civic center stop, I believe there is a shuttle to med campus,but you need to get off at Culmer station. Ill check. Checked, they do still run from 7a-9p.( Remember, have to pay $4 for parking + fare can pay w/ credit or cash). Im parking at Dadeland station, PM if u like or post. I'm wearing pink and grey.:rotfl: P.S: I would love to chose Health South its close to me, save me a seat. They mistakenly sign me up for sonography, not NURSING, OOh no!! Dear Mol42 many others you considering staying at home, I want to share my story with you all. I was a RN BSN studentin my 3rd year at a major university with a full scholarship and I left it all. I was Pregnant. I had major complication and so did my child. I didn't look back, all I wanted to do is to take care my primie son and apply all the vast knowledge I had acquired in school. THEN, a year later I realized that dad did not care to help with house chores or anything else, but, to keep me home and do house chores. My epiphany was devestating. College educated and scrubbing toilets at midnight almost everyday did not do it for me. So, I started back to school changed my major to ESE Teaching with one to two classes at a time. No support from hubby or family. They did allow me to put my kid in daycare. I was stuck in a rut for sometime, isolated,tired and confused but dedicated to my son. Then, son #2 came love him many joys, pains still no relief from dad then came baby girl , baby #3. Returning to studying on the back burner for 10 years. I did some studying and volunteering, got a couple of certifications but no real satisfaction, now my oldest is ten. I have met some really great friends at a certification class and the statement was born. "I'm applying to nusing school"! My girl friends also came from a similiar stories. No respect for the work done at home. So I jump on the opportunity and studied for the entrance exam and passed the first try! I was impressed, and so were my friends. Then, I immediately applied to the same nursing school. All kind of thoughts racing through my head, not good enough to get in settle for LPN school etc. Wating for months on end, but, I was already used to that, waiting... then I got the phone call that has changed my life, I am no longer waiting, no longer just a house wife, barefoot and pregnant so to speak, I have a career to have and to suceed. A Full pledge Nursing Student. It took me almost 11 yrs to get back but I'm back. So Please take it from me, (straight from the hourses mouth). Do not let you career go!!! Make it comfortable for you,reduce hours all that good stuff, change dept. but don't it let go. You have worked to hard to give it up and appreciate your self I'm sure your patients did !:loveya: PS: I wish you the best outcome.

Guess what??? Someone that was hoping, praying and waiting for the fat lady to sing, well, she has sung to the tune "got into the MDC Fulltime Generic in Homestead!!!!!! Medical called me today @ 2p.m. to tell me. "Have u check your email lately?" I said yes everyday... Well your accapted to the Fulltime program at Homestead. I was in a short daze then I heard blah, blah, blah ... Friday. Then I said Friday, the 6th what? a couple of days after a major holiday...thats insane, but guess what? I'm more insane I did most of my paperwork by the end of the day. YAHOOOOO!!!!! I'm in!!!! :loveya: P.S:Please share a copy of the booklist

To Yadi87, I hope this will help. Ask the BURSur or your financial aid advisor for an extention so your classes don't get dropped. Tip: Ask nicely :loveya: I did this a lot while I worked on my pre req's.The extension gives you a little more time to process your financial aid package. So it helps out while others funds become available so your classes do not get dropped. Let me know if it works out.

Hi there, Sil2012, Yes, I did do my medical and background,but, for my plan B,( another school). The Titers take awhile for them to come back and then the Dr.'s office to write up the report, so I didn't waste anytime,waiting. I have been working on my profile for weeks. And, I went to Orientation for my plan B school,but, I' m holding out for my plan A school, MDC. But, I'm going to take advice from ZeppHead and Yadi and I'm going down to Medical campus next week to verify my status. Do you have a Plan B school? If so which one? Are u going to Medical? Let me know we could meet there.
