Hey everyone,
I just wanted to start a thread for people interested in the MDC nursing program for fall 2012. I think if you shared your scores (TEAS V & GPA) and what track your applying to (full-time or part-time), it will give everyone an idea of where they stand.
I will start:
I have a 3.7 GPA and an 81% on the TEAS and looking to apply for the part-time program. I have the option of taking the TEAS 2 more times which I will be doing :)
yeah studybudy12 you'll be fine just be patient. these past couple of weeks have been hectic between waiting on MDC and taking the HESI at broward, to my summer classes now. but im sure you'll be getting the news you've been waiting for. well im off to my CPR class @ kendall.zzz its too early zzz
im in the calm before the storm, i just getting it all done, it reall isnt much of a hassle, i returned the response form friday, started my medical on saturday and im do my background check monday, together with returning to read the first ppd and getting the second to be read on wednesday, then all is done i played my part. the results for everything should come back in time, the medical for sure i know, then of to orientation. the most annoying part is having to drive to the dr office 3 times and it 25 min away from my house, on premium gas, what a waste but i was just glad to find a place and get it over with so thats on me. on friday i was in the bursars line to pay and none of us knew there was a form we had to collect in student life to give the cashier together with the response form, everyone had to come out the line and go get one, it was so stupid, why not put the form by the cashier in the first place????? then back down stairs, i handed in the form and the recep said hold on she went in the back to make sure my name was on the list then she said " you all set, congratulations". well i guess some people try to turn in forms that arent on the list lol ok. your cpr card doesnt have to be valid until 2014 but in any case if you are wondering if your cpr card that expires in 2013 is good to turn in, it is, i was told just renew it before it expires, i need it for my job anyways they notify us when its going to expire. And the schedule for the bridge program is not set in stone but i was told mon, tue, classes and thursday, friday clinical 7 -3. she told my dont sue the school if i make plans and the schedule changes. good luck to all and congratulations to everyone
please excuse all the errors and improper punctuations in the previous post, im pressed for quality time now that my nursing torture is 2 months away but i felt i owed it to everyone to leave a comment since im reading the comments and learning much from it, like where to do my medical lol comment in a hurry is what i call it:bugeyes:
merlina, thanks for the heads-up on the form we need from Student Life. I'm doing the fingerprint thing tomorrow afternoon, so I'll grab the form before heading back to the line I stood in to get paperwork I needed from the bursar in order to apply.
I'm chickening out on the accelerated option. It looks like I'll be on the full-time generic track.
Hi everybody,
Congratulations to all who got in! And good luck to the ones that will keep trying!
I have a weird question:
Has anybody that want to do the par-time bridge program been accepted for the full-time bridge?
I was accepted to the part-time bridge and would like to switch to the full time option. Is it possible to switch?
GM all!! Does anyone know of a place to do the health screening that is open past 5:30 pm?? My current job is not being very understanding or indulgent with me right now (a situation I will be rectifying very soon) and I am desperately searching for a way around their inflexibility until I make my move to change employers. Any help will be much appreciated!! :0)

Hey alpo6,
Congrats on the acceptance. I also was accepted, but for full time.If you were accepted to part-time, then you definitely have the score for full-time. But since you only applied for the part-time track, I do not think they will give you a full time seat; However, it wouldn't hurt to ask. You should give them a call. If you find out something different, let us know.
