Hey everyone,

I just wanted to start a thread for people interested in the MDC nursing program for fall 2012. I think if you shared your scores (TEAS V & GPA) and what track your applying to (full-time or part-time), it will give everyone an idea of where they stand.

I will start:

I have a 3.7 GPA and an 81% on the TEAS and looking to apply for the part-time program. I have the option of taking the TEAS 2 more times which I will be doing :)

Hi, I know this is random but Do you know how they calculate the GPA ? Im going to apply but idk if they look at the overall GPA or just courses required for nursing like broward college. Need help thanks!

They look at the GPA only in the required science courses which tragically hip pointed out. But I'm not sure if you're applying for the fall term because the deadline has passed already.....

Im thinking that next week this time, everyone would be relieved in one way or the other. Thank god I had other things to focus on, otherwise it would have been caos. I hoping to get into the bridge program, I have no clue how much spaces there are, or if we get placed in existing classes, just clueless, dont know? In any case whatever happens, happens. Merlina, I also applied to the bridge program, what was your science gpa and teas score?

Yes, mhl88, I'm applying to the full-time, part-time, and accelerated tracks for this fall. I don't think part-time will be doable financially for me, and I'm leaning toward the accelerated track.

We should have admission decisions within a week for the first round of acceptances.

4.0 in prereq sciences, all taken at MDC Wolfson, and 94 on TEAS-V (taken at the last possible moment, on May 1st). I also took just about everything I needed for their and other BSN programs). I'm taking psych the second summer 6-week session.

But even if I don't go for a BSN, human growth & development, psych, microbiology lab, etc. are good courses to have under my belt.

(By the way, I already have a BS degree, hence the accelerated track application.)

MDC posted admission information on their web, so we probably will receive email soon. We must complete all steps by July 6. Orientation date scheduled for July 19. We almost there!

Where did you guys see the information? Also does anyone know if they offer orientation makeups?
