  1. Did you request the correct page? Barry CRNA class of 2019?
  2. I let the person who created the page know you requested to join. You should be accepted any minute now.
  3. Awesome. Welcome aboard! Are you taking the summer course?
  4. Congrats to everyone who was accepted! We have a Facebook page search "Barry crna class of 2019".
  5. Your stats sound really good. It has been my speculation that the later you interview the more competitive it gets. Also I was told by Barry that you can retake just a single section of the gre to improve that score. They take the best scores for each section. So you can skip over the verbal and analytical portions if you want to improve just your quant.
  6. Hey, I was not required to retake it. However I am required to finish my chem course (finishes next week) and to renew my pals. This by no means is a guarantee that you won't have to retake it. I believe they look at the candidate as a whole when making these decisions. Your scores look great. If your gpa is solid then you have a good chance of not needing to retake your gpa. If you have your ccrn then that helps too.
  7. After my interview on Friday April 1st we received emails on Monday April 11th. So hopefully you guys should hear by Monday. Good luck.
  8. Don't worry about the site right now. When you interview they will give you a form with your top choices of sites.
  9. Good luck guys! If you guys get accepted (which I'm sure you will) the first head start class starts May 16th! Good luck and I hope to see you guys there!
  10. I love how current students are taking their time to give us "hopefuls" advice and information. It is much appreciated! It surely reflects how great a school Barry is. I was told I would receive the decision from my April 1st interview today. I am hoping and praying. ::fingers crossed::
  11. Has anyone heard anything about the April 1 interview?
  12. Your stats are great, you should have no trouble getting an interview. My stats are a 3.48 cumulative GPA. The last 60 credits is a 4.0 GPA. I have 1 year of flight nurse experience with the fire dept. 2 years of CVICU experience with recovering post-op hearts and transplants. I have my CCRN. My GRE scores are "eh". I did 100 hours of shadowing. Good luck!
  13. Hi iculvr, there is a lot of info regarding the Barry interview process on this forum, so I would suggest taking advantage of it, it helped me. I interviewed today and it was very laid back, they do a great job in making everyone feel comfortable. They are truly a great school and I get such a great feeling about the school in general. They had a senior come talk to us and that really made me fall in love with their clinical experience/rotations (it beats all the local competition from what little I know from friends in the various programs). The exam is 20 questions. Basic critical care questions and some chemistry. If you have your CCRN the critical care questions are a breeze, the chemistry depends on your level of knowledge. With that said, the exam in no way takes account into your acceptance. This was told to us in person and I have heard it on this forum and from a friend in the program. It is an assessment tool to see where you are at didactically. I would not spend any time worrying over this exam. Good luck and I hope you get an interview soon. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions or just ask here.
  14. That's a good question. All I know is the requirement is for two to get considered for an Interview. Submit them asap and then you can send more letters as your receive them. I sent 1 from a professor, 2 from both managers, 2 from CRNA's I shadowed, and 1 from my anesthesiologist/intensivist. I sent them in as I got them.
