Miami Dade College (MDC) Spring 2013 Gen. FT/PT& Accelerated Nursing program
SMBP, Some instructors require it. The last time I took it a couple months ago the instructors showed a video and did hands on training we never opened the book. They did give us little tidbits of info we wrote down and that turned out to be the exam. I am also waiting for the second round of emails, if anyone gets any notice please post. Good luck to everyone!

I figured it was just a general email but the link did mention something about preset program classes. And at this point I will take any info from mdc as happy news and a sign were getting closer to ending the anxieties I'm suffering from.

I've given up on waiting for Miami Dade College to send acceptance/rejection letters
I need advice guys, please. I have given up on waiting for Miami dade college to send out acceptance/rejection letters. I have been accepted to two other schools for the AS Nursing program. One is dade medical college who accepts some of my pre reqs, its about 47k, and what freaks me out let's you know about clinical location and time only about two weeks in advance. It would still take me about another 2 years to finish. Then there's a new school called management resources institute. They accept all my credits, are 24k and let you know about your clinicals at the begining of the semester time and location. They have only been offering the nursing program since the begining of this year. And I would be done in 13 months give or take. I have no idea how the school you go to affects you getting a job when its time to work. I am just freaking out. Please help me out and send some advice my way...

Attending mdc vs. All other nursing programs
I am going out of my mind waiting for a response from mdc. So I started looking at other options, there are two schools that fit my schedule well one is Dade Medical College with its new building and shiny equipment. It also has a $37000 price tag after they accept some of my pre reqs from MDC. Although this is a full time course it would take me about 2 years to finish. And they only tell you a week in advance the date and time of your next clinical (tough when I'm also working full time). I just also found management resources institute a program that was just started. Their first class of nursing students started in February and all the students who started are still all attending as of today there have been no drops or fails. The school is under construction-ish or being updated. A lot of the students are Doctors from other countries ( which makes me think I would be very behind their education level). But the accept all of my MDC credits and it will only cost me $25000 for the remaining 13 months I would need to finish. Their price as well as Dade Medical includes all books, uniforms, cost of the nclex first time its taken, and a prep class for nclex. They decide on what date and time your clinicals are at the begining of each semester and inform you then the day of the week and hours for the remainder of semester. How will me choosing any if these schools affect my getting a job when I am a nurse. Does it even matter? I am in full on anxiety mode! Please give your opinions...

Good morning!! I was wondering if anyone's heard or read anything about new nursing grads not finding jobs. I keep reading that places aren't hiring inexperienced grads.

Miami Dade College (MDC) Fall 2012 Full-time/Part-time Nursing program
Has any one gotten any new info?? My heart is at my throat all day everyday! I just read on mdc's website that all accepted students have to have the background check, health check, and CPR card in by the 29th of June...I hope they would give us sufficient time for everything. I've read other posts of past students and there's alot that needs to be done. I might just be blabbing but my nerves are all out of wack. Good night all!
