Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Published

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

Do you guys have any plan bs? Lol

Nope lol 😔

My plan B is to apply again for Spring if I don't get in for Fall.

I am sick to my stomach, all I do is think and think all day, this is going to be a long month. I just can't seem to be here at work while Someone, somewhere is reviewing my application and has my future in his or her hands. 😕

I don't; my gpa is kinda perfect, I'm hoping for the best
Specializes in Surgical transplant.

I'm kind of nervous - because my cum gpa on my degree audit is 3.05. But I believe that reflects all the classes I've taken, and I already have an AA, AS and a BFA. Graduated like 10 years ago….so I don't know how much that counts. My science gpa is 4.0 though, so I'm counting on that one. I haven't seen/read anyone with a science gpa of 4.0 getting rejected. But I'm still nervous lol

Guys do you know how do they choose to what campus they are going to send you. I asked and they told me that depends on your address. But I am not sure.

Yea I believe it is based on your home address.

Its based on the address, if you live closer to Homestead that Medical then you get Homestead. During orientation they allowed some people to swap around, but dont count a 100% on that.

Good luck to you all that are applying! The first semester was brutal, I lost so many classmates to the HESI exam :(
