  4. Hi all. Just graduated this past semester. Selling female green scrub pants and tops and white clinical tops as well. -1 Cherokee green petite pant XXS. Style 4020p. Brand new with tag. - 2 green tops. Fundamentals by white swan. Size SMALL. Clinical whites: -1 Cherokee XXS. - 1 Meridys uniform brand. XS. - 2 Cherokee. SMALL. Style 1841. These have cinch at the waist, much cuter than the typical clinical white top. These have proper logos but no green stripe on the sleeves. These are best worn with lab coats on top during clinical class. -Also have 1 white lab coat for sale, size 32 = it's the smallest female size available in lab coats, it's like a Small. This one I bought from the mdc bookstore. All have proper logos. PM if interested!!!!! Send me a private message for details. =) Good luck!!!

  6. Just buy the fundamentals one, potter/perry one. Tha'ts all u need. Rent it if you can...don't get the med surg book now either, that's for second semester....if u can get the nclx saunders "purple" book, I just recently bought it and i wish i wouldve had it earlier, it really does helpp and it condenses the chapters a lot, because those fundamental chapters are soooo long. You can wait until about midterm time to buy it, but its helpful. You can practice questions from there too for the HESI, but do that later... Either way, it's an awesome book to study from, it will be useful the entire program. It's got a huge fundamentals section, and then other huge sections for the other areas during second, third and fourth semester.
  7. Hey guys. Finishing first semester and getting ready for our hesi fundamentals exam next week.....I've got a rolling backpack, it's totally worth it, you'll be carrying lots of books around. We got our name tags but never used them, it's more of a souvenir than a necessity....Get ready to make a lot of time for studying, start managing your time from day one. Fundamentals requires so much reading and studying, and I found the best way for me was to get the reading done before the lecture. Use the powerpoint to guide your reading, get that done before lecture, once lecture comes around you've read the chapter and you can take notes and feel more at ease that you'll already have an idea what the lecture is about. Makes it a bit more easy when you have to move from chapter to chapter before the exam comes around. There's nothing easy about this program , but it's doable and you'll be glad you're in one of the best programs in south florida, but it's definteely not easy. Study groups are good, you'll become a little family with your peers and you'll need that social support. Most students basically live on campus, studying after class, meeting up for study groups or practice time in the lab. I actually like this campus a lot and have found many areas suitable for studying. I rented all my books and was able to highlight them, because highlighting is a must. Anyway good luck! ...... I almost didn't make it into the program in the fall, but we made it in the last group! And this first semester flew by!!!
  8. Yes to the Facebook page! Will you be creating it then? Let us know. Great idea!
  9. How did you find out the background check was ready? did you get your email at the mdc email or another primary email you put down?..How long did it take?...I got mine started on Wednesday and fingerprints done on Friday...I will have everything this week, possibly by tomorrow afternoon, and waiting on the background check UGH!.... last thing will be the cpr card which will be Friday. Do they help you become compliant if you show them prove of scheduling for the cpr class at dade, paid schedule and all? does anybody know??
  10. Good to know. Thank you! Picked my reference numbers already - classes from Tuesday to Friday clinical....Buying 2 more scrub pants and tops on Monday after orientation. I bought 2 scrub pants from the blue angel store across the street. They have petite length! and much cheaper than the book store! ...I still think some of the scrub tops need altering. For us petite short people, the tops are super long & that makes it so uncomfortable! I'm getting them shortened for sure!
  11. Does that mean we are able to plan a schedule before we go? write down the reference numbers of classes we picked and register there if they allow us?.....
  12. I called to double check, cause my email says 9. It is at 8am. Man, if it wasn't for this forum, how would I find the information about 8 am when my email says 9 am...Thank you guys!....I really do hope we get our schedules or at least the sequences to choose from on Monday, it's obvious no one will be compliant by Monday, it's cutting it too close, but I'm sure we'll all make the compliant deadline of the 17th.
  13. Orientation is Monday at 9am for me too. They did say the paperwork is due the 17th. By that time we'll have everything….I'm hoping they tell us our schedule at orientation!…... I did the fingerprints today as well, 3-4 days they told me….I myself am hoping to have it all by Friday the 14th after the CPR class, scan the CPR card that day and done!
  14. @sasha.cf11 Yes for the 14th! We must meet up. I'll be the one with blue distressed jeans and a gray/black tee . I have a full sleeve tattoo on my left arm. See you there!
  15. Hi. My CPR class fell through and now i'm registering with the medical campus for the Friday class at 8:30 am. Is that the one you're registered for? @sasha.cf11. If it is, then i'll see you there!!!
