Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

There's practically one month left until we get the decision emails!

Hey guys! I too applied to the Fall 2015 Part time program at MDC, but I applied last year in September (my advisor told me to do so). Anyway, I'm anxious to know if I made it to the program too!

Also, while looking for threads about how long it takes MDC to send the acceptance letters I came across with a thread that said to look in your degree audit. It said to look for two things at the top of the audit: Program Status and Pgm Admit Status. I checked both and the first one said Active and the other one had a Y next to it. The person that wrote the thread did so a few years ago and said that the Y stands for Yes as in "yes the student has been admitted"

I wondered if you guys see the "Active" and "Y" on your degree audits?

My degree audit says "active" "y".

I wouldint go by that cause I check my brother who was in Miami Sade for business and his say active and Y

Mine showed the same while I was taking pre reqs

Or I should say does any of you see an "inactive" and "N" in your degree audit?

Right, but he was already in the business program, right? It's confusing, who knows. I was asking because mine didn't show that before the deadline (May 1st) and I was curious to know if everyone that applied to the program had the same. I'm just waiting for June to be sure :up:

Yes mines saids active! I wonder if they already made there decisions.
