Hey guys,
I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.
So far this is what I know:
I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).
I really hope they answer us earlier this year. It's crazy to answer us so late when we have bootcamp to go to, CPR certification to get, vaccinations, etc...orientation, uniforms to buy, classes to schedule and pay for. It's so much wrapped up in so little time. By the way, does anyone know how much is the first semester in the full time generic program?
They start checking in May, and send out letters sometime in June. If you think all that was crazy, try the spring semester, lol, we had less than 2 months to do it all, and orientation conflicted with summer classes, so it was a hazzle.
Btw how are you guys calculating your science gpa? Are you just adding yourself the science classes or are you using the as cum pro gpa on the degree audit
When I turned in my application the advisor told me that the AS cumulative program GPA is not the science GPA. She said that they calculate it manually, so I did it myself using the GPA calculator that MDC has on their website.
As far as them losing the application, it is possible because at the end of the day we are all human, but you have your receipt that you turned it in. At least there's some proof to back you up, but don't have those types of thoughts instead just trust that it's there and it will start getting reviewed next week. Best wishes!
I don't know how to calculate my gpa and at this point I'm not going to even bother. Lol. The advisor I saw was new, she never told me my gpa and I was so nervous that I forgot to ask her. As a matter of fact she even forgot to give me the disclaimer form which I had to sign. A week later I received a letter by regular mail to come to the office and sign some papers. I you have a difference mailing address and did not check your mail, misses this step ( The disclaimer form is an agreement basically explaining the application process explained in like 3 or 4 short paragraphs then at the end you print your name, student number and sign) That way the noticed me was very unprofessional and old school. There were a lo of student coming in with the same issue and one of the advisor was really pissed off about it. I had the pleasure to go thru the last advisement office located in the back. I saw papers everywhere copy papers in different colors. I guess they were application that are assigned in colors by major. Our application is in pink, but I saw yellow blue green I guess it depend of the program you are applying. By the time I applied there were some student filling out the nursing application in pink. I filled out mine in white copy paper looking ugly as hell. I'm telling you all this info to have an idea of how many people applied.
Hey futures classmates. I just found this thread. I also applied for Fall 2015. My general GPA is 3.7 and my science is 4.0 I figure it out that they multiplie the general GPA for 40% and the science GPA for 60% and then they add the two numbers. I am going to the medical tomorrow because I want to be sure my application is there.

Did you end up going to medical campus? What did they say?
