Lopeme: December break is the longest 3-4 weeks. All others are 2-3 weeks.

I was accepted for January 2015 start and just sent in my deposit. I'll be moving from Seattle and I'm anxiously waiting to get more information from the school. Has anyone receive an email or packet in the mail?

I haven't gotten any packet yet. I figured they were waiting until after the 30th, when they have more of a definite head count.

Thanks! I haven't made a FINAL decision because I haven't heard back from other schools yet. It's one of my top choices and I didn't want to lose my place, so I sent in the deposit.

The other schools won't make their decisions until late this year (December for UW and November for NYU), and February of next year (JHU, Duke). This will be after the start time of MGH. Which do you want most?

I had sent an email to admissions, they said we should be getting a welcome email first but that it is sent out after the last day the deposit is due, on the 30th. I'm assuming by next week? I'm also ready to get things going! I'd like to know what needs to be done before we start.

Honestly, I don't know which program would be best for me yet. I only had 2 weeks from the time I received my acceptance notification until I had to send in my deposit, which wasn't enough time for me to decide. I was traveling in Europe over the summer and I'm living in Seattle, so I haven't been able to make visits to schools yet.

MGH is a big city and large cohort with a lot of online work; UNE is a much smaller cohort and city. Both sound like great programs from what I have read, but I'm hoping to make visits and get more info in the next few weeks to help me decide.

I'm not applying to Duke or JHU. For UW and NYU, I will be thinking about what I want do...
