MGHIHP ABSN Spring 2015

Published

Hello applicants! The time is coming close to finding out if we are in or not, just checking in with others. From last year's thread it seems around 8/31 we will know! Good luck all!!

I was accepted as well :) I am from Portland, Oregon. Long ways away! I am only 22 years old. Is anyone else coming from out-of-state?

Yep! 26 coming from Atlanta!

Is there a Facebook page set up for Spring 2015?

I had heard that the hybrid meet at least once a month in addition to the online lectures etc.. The other classes are in person (classroom or "lab" type setting) with plenty of clinical time in in the best hospitals with the best teachers! I personally think MGH is the way to go for me! I feel as if I have been given a gift by being accepted!!! I am so excited!

Thanks ihealthy and Seven_7! That definitely answers my questions about the hybrid classes. I am so excited!! Definitely want to join the Facebook page if one is created :)

correct, the last semester is shorter, it is immersion, working 1 on 1 with a nurse 8-10 weeks

Set up a FB group so you can provide support for each other as my group did and start to get to know each other. you will truly enjoy the program. I have the best clinical placements to date at top Boston hospitals. You will be on the floor from Semester 1. The program is very challenging but doable. Best of luck...

Thanks to ihealthy for your words of wisdom! I am a bit nervous as well as excited so it is good to hear you say it is doable... Thanks again!

how do clinicals work? Are you assigned to one hospital per quarter? Does everyone get a chance to rotate at MGH?

do you feel like the classes were well-taught?

Congrats on getting accepted everyone!!! There is a Facebook group set up called "MGHIHP ABSN Spring 2015"!!! ?

I was looking for the Facebook group but I just come up with MGHIHP ABSN Spring 2014. Did others have success?

I just found it today! It wasn't showing until I put a space before MGHIHP and searched again it magically found it. Hope that works for you!
