MGH IHP DE NP 2018

Published

Hi There!

Thought I'd start a thread for anyone applying for Fall 2018 entry. I'm about 3/4 of my way through the application and feeling a bit anxious and nervous about it all but mostly excited! :)

I also applied to the pediatric track! So nervous and excited. I have a Bachelor's in Education and a Master in Public Health. 3.0 undergrad gpa and 3.8 graduate gpa.

I received an email notifying me that I am on the waitlist. So hopefully I get a spot.

Hi all! Did all of your letters come yesterday or are they in the process of sending them out currently? I am waiting to hear from MGH to make a decision about BC. If I don't hear soon, I will guess I wasn't accepted but just thought I'd check on others' timelines. Thanks for any responses/insights!

We received our decisions by email and I applied by the original deadline of 01/01.

Specializes in Psychiatry.

They sent out emails the letters have not come in yet.

Thanks! And all of them were out by yesterday? My original submissions were in by 1/1 but errors on the part of Nursing CAS resulted in a "complete" status in time for the 2/1 deadline.

My app was verified by mid jan because of errors NursingCas made on my account as well. Let's just say I hope to never have to use their services again after the trouble I went through for a month straight trying to sort out these issues. My app was suppose to be verified by mid december. I spoke to the admission reps regarding my situation and they said they give a week or so for applicants to become verified after the 01/01 deadline but since my case was unique, I assume they granted me more leverage since it wasn't my fault. I recommend you call them up regarding your case since it sounds like we went through similar events.

It was really terrible to use. They lost three transcripts - one of which I ended up needing to FedEx with a signature because they claimed they didn't receive. They "undelivered" my application once because of how I entered credits (the method by which one of their representatives told me). They told me my application was on hold because of a transcript they didn't receive... for a course I wasn't enrolled in. Each time an issue came up, it took between 1-2 weeks to resolve. I had everything submitted by November and my application STILL isn't verified. I was accepted and received interviews at every school that didn't use Nursing CAS but I don't know if the schools in their system ever even reviewed mine. Terrible couple months because of them - so I feel your pain!!!!

When I called the school, they said they don't review unverified apps which is why I made sure to keep them in the loop regarding this unfortunate fiasco. I was stressed for so long. I think all the schools felt bad for me lol. My issue was that IT somehow "lost" my application so it never reached the verification stage by the date it should've. And somehow no one noticed this until I called them when I realized that a month had passed without my application having any movement. And then almost another 3 weeks passed without anyone doing anything to help me. If there's any issues, it's always best to speak directly to a supervisor instead of those customer reps cause they can't really do much. After almost 3 weeks of me constantly calling, one day I just told them that I wasn't gonna hang up the call until I speak to a supervisor. And voila! As soon as I spoke to one, my issues were resolved and I was verified that same morning. The supervisor sounded embarrassed by how the company had treated me and apologized like a million times on their behalf. After that, I refused to even have any additional reference letters be uploaded in application just to avoid any more "bad luck".

Yes! I asked to speak to a supervisor and the employee said there was "no supervisor above" her. Which I am sure is not true. The past two weeks alone I have called them probably about fifteen times. They have all the information but won't just mark it as "verified" for the past few weeks. I continue calling and they say they are emailing agents to get it done but it has been nearly a month. I wish I could have just done it myself.

I'm so sorry. Hang in there. Don't give up. Keep calling and asking for a supervisor until you're in contact with one.

Hey everyone, I am a little late joining the party but just wanted to stop in and let others know that I was accepted however I did not get my letter until I reached out to admissions. I got emails inviting me to the open house and an email from financial aid and was like woahh what is going on here I haven't even heard from the school if I was accepted or not. Turns out they sent me an email but it did not go through so for those still waiting to hear back make sure there wasn't any mishap!! Excited to meet everyone. Will you all be attending the open house in march?
