  1. I was notified that they are not choosing anyone for the graduating class of 2020 due to a lack of immediately available funds. =( They are going to keep our applications on file and review in October for funds starting potentially in January - of course still depending on what funds are available. So if your graduation date was in 2020, that is why!
  2. Yeah, the wait is so hard! I am hoping to hear as soon as possible but Scott said, "no later than July" when I originally asked. At least it is a realistic period! It seems they tried to do them earlier before but had trouble meeting their estimated decision deadlines. So it seems like late June is likely. Can I ask what degree you are going for and any specialty if applicable? =)
  3. I applied to the HPSP and received an email that my application was referred. The status of my application changed on the website to "Referred" as well. Scott Dixon said that they are waiting to see if the program is approved for a graduation year of 2020, though. So no decisions are made until they know about that program extension. I am just wondering how far along "Referred" is in the process.
  4. I'm also curious what happens after referral? Are there people who receive referrals but don't get selected for the scholarship?
  5. Hi all! I declined my PMHNP offer. I hope someone else is offered it soon!!!
  6. I still choose this one as the winner. Even if it isn't in the poll.
  7. I found out some information on aid. Similar to other programs, the vast majority of funding for the program is supplied by loans, both the direct loan and then Grad Plus loans, which help cover tuition and cost of living. I asked about scholarships and need based grants. They said they don't complete these until September, or their main cycle. They told me that some grants and scholarships are a couple of credits per quarter and some can be several per quarter. Unfortunately, they can neither guarantee or award these prior to September - thus, you need to be willing to take out the entirety of loans (as there is no guarantee of the other grants/scholarships). I spoke with the dean of the nursing school and dean of financial aid (I believe) who suggested I speak to financial aid - and that is what they told me. For those on the PMHNP waitlist, I will likely not be able to accept because of this. But, I will post when I officially decline. I was waiting on a third party scholarship, but I don't believe I will know in time for the deadline. As far as the start date, I thought I saw something about an orientation on June 23 with summer coursework to begin soon after this.
  8. I was accepted to the PMHNP track late last week. Unfortunately, you don't hear about any scholarship information until after you start the program - which makes it tough to make financial decisions. I will need to make a decision by April 1 or 2. Whether or not I accept will depend on whether or not I hear from a third party scholarship by then.
  9. Everyone is DUBLIN' over from the Irish flu!
  10. Mikayla and Mitchell did not succeed when requesting no E.D. clinical rotations on St. Patrick's Day.
  11. @DrTango Did your offer include any scholarship or financial information? I'm interviewing late and had to put down a deposit at another school. IF I get accepted it unfortunately comes down to tuition/cost of living. Thanks for any information!!!!
  12. I called the office today and they said that they sent out the first round of emails - for applicants who submitted by the 1/1 deadline or around that time point. They are still reviewing those submitted for/around 2/1.
  13. I put down my deposit for PMHNP, but may be unable to attend dependent upon whether or not I can get federal loans or any scholarships. Still considering Seattle University (interviewing March 2).
  14. Yes! I asked to speak to a supervisor and the employee said there was "no supervisor above" her. Which I am sure is not true. The past two weeks alone I have called them probably about fifteen times. They have all the information but won't just mark it as "verified" for the past few weeks. I continue calling and they say they are emailing agents to get it done but it has been nearly a month. I wish I could have just done it myself.
  15. It was really terrible to use. They lost three transcripts - one of which I ended up needing to FedEx with a signature because they claimed they didn't receive. They "undelivered" my application once because of how I entered credits (the method by which one of their representatives told me). They told me my application was on hold because of a transcript they didn't receive... for a course I wasn't enrolled in. Each time an issue came up, it took between 1-2 weeks to resolve. I had everything submitted by November and my application STILL isn't verified. I was accepted and received interviews at every school that didn't use Nursing CAS but I don't know if the schools in their system ever even reviewed mine. Terrible couple months because of them - so I feel your pain!!!!
