Thanks! I felt pretty uncertain about my chances of acceptance into PMHNP, but so happy and relieved it worked out. I think the greatest weakness of my application was my overall GPA being ~3.2, but my recent grades are all A's and prerequisite GPA is ~3.8. I'm currently in an accelerated Masters of Science program that bridges into a DO medical program, but I feel like the NP route is truly a better fit for my goals. I've been particularly interested in psych/mental health for several years and I believe my PS demonstrated that through my personal/volunteer/work experiences. I'm also a mother of two young boys, which came up in my PS and interview. So definitely a nontraditional applicant, but I get the feeling that the program values life experiences and really does take a holistic approach in their evaluation.
If you demonstrate your potential for academic success along with a developed knowledge and passion for the field through your personal statement/LORs/etc, I think chances of acceptance are good. Best of luck!
