  1. Just gave up my spot. Good luck to those still waiting!
  2. Where did you see that information? I haven't received any emails.
  3. I emailed admissions and they said decisions will be going out this week. Best of luck to everyone!
  4. I believe decisions will be sent by email. That's what they've done in the past.
  5. I was also considering both of these programs and I chose UMass because of some of the same reasons @MLE135 stated like small class sizes, tuition, and reputation. Since I was given the chance to pursue a DNP and an MSN, I chose to enroll in the program that will ultimately give me the highest degree possible within the nursing field. NPs w/ doctorates have more responsibilities and can do more things clinically compared to NPs with masters degree. Also, I come from a public health research background so the doctorate allows me to do some research which is a good option. I was impressed with Umass ever since I did the online virtual tour so when I went in for an interview, I asked to be given a tour afterwards and was even more impressed with what I saw. They showed me the classrooms and simulation labs which were very sophisticated. I just felt like I belonged. Also, MGH didn't offer me any scholarships and the tuition is more expensive which made my decision easier to make.
  6. We have 15 days after whenever our letter of acceptance is dated.
  7. I reached out to them a couple of weeks ago. They said that they're waiting to send out more acceptances depending on the number of deposits they receive and that they're waiting to receive a few more. They said that my application is simply on hold so its not a rejection. Even though I have already been accepted to my top choices, it would still be great to know where I stand with this program and not be in limbo any longer. So keep your faith! You may receive good news!
  8. I just got the call that I have been accepted!!! This is def my first choice!! I am on cloud nine right now. Once again, thank you everyone for the interview feedback!
  9. I'm all set to go to the DEN open house! I'm from NYC so I'm super excited to explore Boston and the campus. I look forward to meeting you guys :)
  10. For anyone who applied for acute care and is still waiting to hear back regarding an interview invite, the director of this concentration responded to my email saying that they have already interviewed the first batch of qualified applicants in late January and will be sending out invites to all additional qualified candidates before the end of this month.
  11. Yes, they interview all applicants that have met the criteria. Based on previous forums, they have hosted mock interviews that contained the same questions that were asked during the real interviews. The school sent out an email with a link to sign up for these mock interviews weeks before sending out the link for signing up for the real interviews. The mock interviews were on campus. I couldn't attend because I'm an out of state applicant.
  12. I'm so sorry. Hang in there. Don't give up. Keep calling and asking for a supervisor until you're in contact with one.
  13. When I called the school, they said they don't review unverified apps which is why I made sure to keep them in the loop regarding this unfortunate fiasco. I was stressed for so long. I think all the schools felt bad for me lol. My issue was that IT somehow "lost" my application so it never reached the verification stage by the date it should've. And somehow no one noticed this until I called them when I realized that a month had passed without my application having any movement. And then almost another 3 weeks passed without anyone doing anything to help me. If there's any issues, it's always best to speak directly to a supervisor instead of those customer reps cause they can't really do much. After almost 3 weeks of me constantly calling, one day I just told them that I wasn't gonna hang up the call until I speak to a supervisor. And voila! As soon as I spoke to one, my issues were resolved and I was verified that same morning. The supervisor sounded embarrassed by how the company had treated me and apologized like a million times on their behalf. After that, I refused to even have any additional reference letters be uploaded in application just to avoid any more "bad luck".
  14. My app was verified by mid jan because of errors NursingCas made on my account as well. Let's just say I hope to never have to use their services again after the trouble I went through for a month straight trying to sort out these issues. My app was suppose to be verified by mid december. I spoke to the admission reps regarding my situation and they said they give a week or so for applicants to become verified after the 01/01 deadline but since my case was unique, I assume they granted me more leverage since it wasn't my fault. I recommend you call them up regarding your case since it sounds like we went through similar events.
  15. We received our decisions by email and I applied by the original deadline of 01/01.
