I just sent in my application for MGH Direct-Entry Nursing 2014 and I was hoping to get in touch with other applicants. I applied for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP. The wait is going to kill me! I'm wondering about other people's backgrounds (GPA, GRE scores, experience, etc.) and if anyone has an idea of who MGH accepts. Look forward to hearing from you!
Just talked to the admissions office, they said that admissions letters will be sent out sometime NEXT week, not this week. :/ I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG. lol So excited!
As to pmg1990's question, I think they said at the admissions session that they let in 20-25 percent of the people that apply, as they usually get around 500 applications a year, but that is growing every year, so it might even be less now!
I have a neighbor who works there and she said they will be emailing decisions on 2/1. I applied to the FNP program at MGH, Regis, Northeastern and BC. Already got in to NE & Regis but MGH is my first choice (I think:) My GPA was a 3.85 and about the same for prereq's. I did very mediocre on my GRE's but they seemed like more of a formality than anything. I can't stand the waiting either!!!
Did you apply to the Direct Entry Fall 2014 Northeastern? Did you have an interview?\
I spoke with admissions at MGH and they said we should hear by next week. So nervous! If anyone else applied at Northeastern they said we should find out by the beginning of March. I also applied to Salem State and UMass Medical. Anyone else?
I applied to Northeastern. You said we are going to find out if we got in in March, right? Did you have an interview?

KoKe, thanks for the info. I applied to the Peds NP concentration. Do you know any stats about that concentration? ie how many apply vs. how many they accept? Anxiously waiting to hear back as well everyone!
