U.S.A. Massachusetts

I just sent in my application for MGH Direct-Entry Nursing 2014 and I was hoping to get in touch with other applicants. I applied for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP. The wait is going to kill me! I'm wondering about other people's backgrounds (GPA, GRE scores, experience, etc.) and if anyone has an idea of who MGH accepts. Look forward to hearing from you!

Yup. Hopefully soon and something good. I hope!!

Is anyone taking any Prereqs from MGH right now? I am currently taking Statistics!

no, I'm finishing mine up at BCC. Has anyone heard anything from the school?

Not Yet!! :S When do we get to hear. I am nervous......I am doing statistics at QC. How is the online experience so far -> Hudsoj2n?

Honestly its amazing! The class layout and the "blackboard" site for the school is very easily read and understood. My professor for the class is amazing as well! Very smart, really knows his stuff, but also very prompt with responses to questions and puts a good humor on things. He is also very good with making something like statistics relatable to the healthcare world to make us better understand. All around I would say it was worth the extra $$$!!!

Thats good to hear. I was thinking initially to do statistics online but then took onsite as i wasn't sure how would hybrid work.

I am also new to this site. I applied for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP. Very anxious to hear! Does anyone know how many of each specialty MGH typically accepts?

I remember from when I went to one of the info sessions that they said they typically accept a max of 30 people per program, although sometimes up to 35 if that is where the demand is. However, the ideal size for each program is around 25. Applying for Adult/Gero Acute Care too!

Anyone have any updates on when we are supposed to hear? Also does anyone know if having prior healthcare experience is helpful for acceptance? Thanks!

Also I just spoke with admissions and they said that decisions would be sent out early to mid February.

I guess healthcare experience would give an edge and a plus to the application. I dont have though and this scares me. Early feb to mid... Still. This waiting thing is making me anxious.
