I just sent in my application for MGH Direct-Entry Nursing 2014 and I was hoping to get in touch with other applicants. I applied for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP. The wait is going to kill me! I'm wondering about other people's backgrounds (GPA, GRE scores, experience, etc.) and if anyone has an idea of who MGH accepts. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hey all! I'm a new member to the site, but I have to confess I've been anxiously following the board for some time..it's made me obs. compulsive too! I applied for FNP and think it's a long shot for me. I know last year the applicants got the email late at night (9ish) so I'm thinking it could be anytime... I can't handle the wait!
Off topic but has anyone also applied to the UMASS program? I overheard someone on the bus behind me yesterday that they just got in (what a way to find out that decisions are being made!)
I applied to the UMass program, with the deadline being mid Jan, and just got an email from admissions this week saying that my application on NursingCAS (the website they use for applications) has not been verified by CAS yet so they could not view my application. I wish I had known earlier so I could have contacted CAS. Knowing that the decisions are already made makes me nervous that they won't even look at mine now.
I would just love to find out about MGH (or at least have a specific day that we will know) so that I can stop checking my email!!!
Ahhh, the same thing happened to me last week ( I feel your pain). When I called Nursing CAS they told me the verification person was out on the snowday and this is why the information wasn't inputted...?? I also wish I had known sooner. I just received word today that everything has been verified, so hopefully they can finally look at my application. I just worry that because they have already been admitting this is lowering my chances! Anyhow I agree on the MGH front, I am refreshing my email every 10 minutes... it's fairly unhealthy! Good luck to you!
