MGH Direct-Entry Nursing 2014

Published

I just sent in my application for MGH Direct-Entry Nursing 2014 and I was hoping to get in touch with other applicants. I applied for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP. The wait is going to kill me! I'm wondering about other people's backgrounds (GPA, GRE scores, experience, etc.) and if anyone has an idea of who MGH accepts. Look forward to hearing from you!

Admitted to Adult/gero Primary care MSN:)

eopc- Yes, mine looked like that also! Thanks!

I was admitted to the AG Primary Care Track - so is it up to us to contact financial aid to see about loans/scholarships??

Accepted to peds! Now it's decision time...NEU or MGH? I'm mostly worried about cost at this point -- anyone else deciding between these two? I wish they would tell me EXACTLY how much this degree is going to cost. it's pretty vague on the sites.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted!! I was waitlisted...

@britt8486 did you already get accepted to NEU traditional direct entry for peds?

@ariahealingarts keep your head up (and others wait listed)! You really never know where the cards may fall. A lot of people may have also gotten into another school that was their top choice...in which case many spots will open up!

got accepted to acute adult gerontology!

@britt8486 - im still waiting to hear from Vanderbilt/JHU but I am hoping to stay in Boston so realistically I am really deciding between NEU and MGH....no idea what to do at this point!! If you have any insight/ideas please feel free to share!

skigirl470: I was accepted to the neonatal track for northeastern, peds for MGH. That's one of my deciding points -- I think I ultimately want to end up in the NICU, but during my interview at NEU they said that jobs and placements are limited in New England since NNPs tend to stay at their jobs for a long time (which of course, is a concern). From what I can tell, total cost is comparable, though Northeastern's program is technically longer. I like that NEU has the coop portion since it gives you significant real-world experience and makes you more appealing as a job applicant, but it adds almost 2 years.

Congrats everyone and best of luck to all those still waiting!

I was accepted into the PMHNP track!

Congrats ppl who got accepted:) and best of luck to the ones on waitlist. Hope to see you all in fall 2014:) i am so excited:)
