MGH Direct-Entry MSN

Hi! Is anyone else gearing up to apply to the MGH direct-entry MSN program beginning in 2012? I'm currently completing my pre-reqs at bunker hill community college. I'm also studying for the GRE and will be taking in a few weeks, as well as at the end of July. I'm super nervous but eager to apply. MGH is my top choice, but I'm also gonna apply to other programs in MA. I really wanna do a MSN program because I want to be a nurse practictioner. Anyone else in the same boat?

Just got my Acute Care acceptance letter!!

Did anybody get Merit Scholarship information? From what I've heard regarding years past, you receive it with the acceptance letter.....kinda hoping that changed this year since I didn't get anything.

How soon do people get off the waitlist? and does it matter if one has one more prereq to satisfy?

I applied to the family track and, womp womp, waitlisted. That's nice to hear about the March 29th deposit deadline, but I guess there's no guarantee we'll hear anytime soon. Blech. I'm all done with my prereqs so I'm just working a perfunctory job and twiddling my thumbs in the hope I'll get in somewhere.

I'm not sure if there's a standard amount across the board. Mine was just communicated to me in one of the paragraphs of the acceptance letter. I didn't even apply for anything (nor was I even aware that there was a scholarship).Good luck all!

Congrats on your merit scholarships, mellzie and pianoman! Is there a specific name for the scholarship? I tried looking up various available scholarships at MGH but am having a tricky time finding this information. Thank you!

Received my acceptance letter to acute care yesterday!! The wait was torture . . . but all worth it in the end :)

Congrats to those who received merit scholarships . . . very exciting!

There was no application for the scholarship. Mine covers about 3/4 of tuiton. Despite getting the scholarship I'm not convinced MGH is the right place for me. Good luck to all those on the wait list!
