  1. I need information about Brookline College Phoenix ABSN. Is it a good school and does it worth the cost? I have a family member who wants to attend but does not have enough information to decide. Thank you.
  2. He said he passed all of his classes but cannot continue because he has no money and had reached his limit in financial aid. I told him it is hard to transfer but he wants to hear from other nurses.
  3. I have a friend who had 2 courses more to finish the RN portion of his BSN program before an occurrence in his family made it impossible for him to go on (financial-wise). He said he has tried to transfer his credits to other schools with no avail. He went to a CCNE accredited school affiliated to a Magnet hospital. I have no information to give him regarding schools that take transfer students. Please help. Thank you.
  4. Thank you for your advice but if you read my post I want something away from bedside. I work in a hospital. 3 months into it.
  5. No experience in public health but I have been applying with no success. I am open to relocation.
  6. I am a BSN holder with a PhD in Public health. Please advice me. I need a job far from bedside nursing. I have 8 years experience as a CNA (nursing assistant) and just 3 months as RN.
  7. No I know a school close to my state that lets their NP students take NCLEX RN after the 1st year depending on which courses the student has passed within the 1st year. I dont just know all of the courses.
  8. Which courses qualify one to sit for the nclex rn. Somebody said the board requests for up to 10 courses which include nursg process, patho, pharm, mental health, adult health, maternal/child, community health, etc. I need to know which ones please.
  9. While I dont condone cheating, I feel everyone deserves a second chance. This is like getting away with sleeping at a night job by getting same pay that those who dont sleep get. Has that ever happened to those who want the students to be expelled first time? If you sleep at your night job and still get paid you should not participate in this discussion.
  10. With all your qualification, I will advice that you go for a Direct entry BSN/MSN. You can work as RN if you pass NCLEX-RN after the BSN portion and do your MSN portion full or part-time. You have the prerequisites already and even more. Look for schools that offer BSN/MSN. It usually goes for 3 years but the BSN portion is between 12-16 months. Good luck. AND there is nothing like going from RN to LPN. I have never heard about that. You can go from LPN to RN but honestly I dont think you need that with all the prerequisites that you have. It's like going backwards.
  11. How do I get decent affordable housing close to school? Preferably with students in same program (MSN FNP).
  12. I received the email too
  13. I received my waitlist letter (MSN-FNP) on March 6th 2012. That was around the time those who were accepted got their letters too. I reapplied and Im expecting reply by first week in March. Good luck to all.
  14. any tip on schools that dont request for chemistry for FNP direct entry? (career changer). Thanks.
  15. Has anyone on the waitlist heard back from MGH? I was waitlisted but still interested. It's the only one I applied to (FNP)
