MGH Direct-Entry MSN

Hi! Is anyone else gearing up to apply to the MGH direct-entry MSN program beginning in 2012? I'm currently completing my pre-reqs at bunker hill community college. I'm also studying for the GRE and will be taking in a few weeks, as well as at the end of July. I'm super nervous but eager to apply. MGH is my top choice, but I'm also gonna apply to other programs in MA. I really wanna do a MSN program because I want to be a nurse practictioner. Anyone else in the same boat? :uhoh3:

My guess at this point is if u haven't gotten a letter yet and u live in Boston that's probably a good thing. Maybe they send the wait list letters earlier, cause I was expecting to hear from MGH last. Ugh... Mellzie, congratulations! Vanderbilt is such a prestigious school!! AML04143, did u get acceptance into Simmons? They sent me an email just recently that I needed to send in 2 more transcripts. If they've started accepting people I guess that's not a good sign for me =(

I applied to Simmons' Dix program which just grants the Accelerated BSN and heard back from them in February. From what I've seen on this site, the DE MSN decisions haven't gone out yet...keep your head up! :)

Oh that's great! I'm starting to regret not applying to the DIX program. Simmons sent me an email recently saying that my application wasn't complete, so I'm still waiting on one transcript from classes I took one summer. Its frustrating to know that when I finally send that in, they'll JUST start reviewing my application. I'm crossing my fingers I won't have to wait forever to hear back!

Just got my letter today, waitlisted :/ O well. Does anyone know how often people are pulled off the waitlist at MGH?

It makes me wonder, if we're not getting in, who the heck is?!

We really should start a little "waitlisted" support group. :cry:

Hoping to hear something tody or tomorrow. When I went to the open house, they said the number of people they pull off the wait list really varies year to year. Sometimes none, and sometimes they are able to.

Woof. I'm down for a waitlist support group! I actually just sent in my deposit to Simmons yesterday to hold my spot too. I wonder when/how we would hear if we were pulled off the WL?
