MGH Direct-Entry MSN

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Hi! Is anyone else gearing up to apply to the MGH direct-entry MSN program beginning in 2012? I'm currently completing my pre-reqs at bunker hill community college. I'm also studying for the GRE and will be taking in a few weeks, as well as at the end of July. I'm super nervous but eager to apply. MGH is my top choice, but I'm also gonna apply to other programs in MA. I really wanna do a MSN program because I want to be a nurse practictioner. Anyone else in the same boat? :uhoh3:

I'll be applying to Adult/Gero. You?

Specializes in Nursing Assistant.

Acute Care...I wish we didn't have to wait until feb-march to find out!

Hi Guys!

I'm applying for 2012 as well. Taking the GRE end of Oct. Applying to Peds.

Best of luck!

Im applying too. FNP. Is the info session mandatory? I live far away.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I went to the info session on Saturday. Did anyone else go?? I was initially trying to decide between Family and Peds, but the info session definitely swayed me toward peds.

It's been a while since someone posted on this thread. I was wondering, did you guys apply to MGH? I did! I applied for FNP. I also went to the info session, and it seemed like a lot of people apply for the FNP. So eek!

Anyone know when we will be hearing?? My guess is not for a while, but just curious when I'll be able to breathe again!!

Hi Halebale!

I just applied to MGH (adult/gerontology) as well - just got my application submitted in the nick of time. PHEW.

Now we just wait. I browsed some threads from previous years, and it seems that we'll probably hear from them by mid-March. .

Regis app is next for me. Where else have you applied?

Good luck to you!

Ugh I had a feeling it would be that long!

I'm applying to Northeastern, Simmons, and UMASS Grad school of Nursing in Worcester. I was gonna apply to Regis, but I didn't want to take Ethics. =P And I figured 4 schools might just be enough to apply to!

What about you?

Specializes in Nursing Assistant.

Thanks for starting the thread back up! Best of luck to everyone with all of their applications/classes/GREs!

Did anyone else apply to Regis College early? I was able to get everything in for the early deadline and found out on Christmas Eve that I was accepted! It was a nice Christmas present! I think Pianoman223 is right, seems like we will not hear back from MGH until mid-late March....

Enjoy the holiday weekend!

Hey Everyone,

I had been watching this thread and last years....I also applied to the acute care track. good luck to everyone!

Specializes in Medicine.

Hi, I have also applied to the acute care speciality. Look forward to hearing from everyone closer to March! :)

Did anyone apply to the Women's Health NP track? I can't believe how long we have to wait to find out...!
