MGH Accelerated BSN Summer 2016

Hi everyone - I'm wondering if anyone else applied for MGH's Accelerated BSN program for Summer 2016? I submitted my application on the deadline (November 2nd). I've searched through some MGH threads on here but I haven't come across any discussing the Summer start!

Would someone please call? I feel like I can't ever get through with them, and I really hope that we hear something!

ajams,the break added 14 days, and the 10th week was supposed to be on January 11th, so if they're sticking to the 8-10 week timeline the 25th should be when we hear by (hopefully!)

Maybe I'm counting wrong? When I count out weeks from November 2nd without counting their break, the 8th week starts December 28th. So I thought the time frame was originally December 28th to January 15th. But with the two week break added in it seems like it's January 11th-29th. Maybe we're counting the weeks differently?

Okay! I just called. I told the admissions woman the situation and how we're all anxious to hear and we've received some conflicting info and she said that while she couldn't guarantee that word would be sent out by the end of this week, it was VERY likely that it would be. She said that they technically were only in the 8th week because of winter break, but that they're still sending them out very soon, possibly tonight! She also asked that we please not call anymore (she was very nice about it) and that they don't send notifications on Saturdays and won't be in the office on Monday. So it's either today, tomorrow or next week!

monday the 11th just made 10 weeks since the application deadline, November 2nd. This feels like torture. I hadn't been told about the winter break not being counted in the email that I got regarding a general inquiry. It just doesn't make sense to me because I'm sure that last year's summer group heard on January 17, which was a Saturday.

Someone should call and take one for the team lol

Yes she did :) Everything I wrote I got straight from her mouth. I explained that we had been talking and were getting anxious and had heard conflicting info and I double clarified that she "couldn't guarantee we'd get answers by the end of the week but it was very likely." and she said "I wish I could tell you they were definitely going out this week but I can't. I can tell you it's very likely, they may even go out tonight."

The last time I applied, they sent out an email around 8pm on a weekday that said the decisions would be posted at 9pm. It was a pretty nerve-wracking hour and I ended up being waitlisted. This thread is making me super nervous now that it could be so soon!

btw, what is the time zone of this forum? I'm on east coast, and it is 4pm here, but the posts I'm seeing are 5 hours ahead lol

Yeah I think we did it differently! I got 10 weeks being January 11th but it's a small difference, hopefully we will find out well before the 25th or 29th!

Its 8:05 pm where I am. Doubt that we'll be hearing anything tonight. Darn. If we do have to wait for two more weeks, that's so unfair.
