MGH Accelerated BSN Summer 2016

Hi everyone - I'm wondering if anyone else applied for MGH's Accelerated BSN program for Summer 2016? I submitted my application on the deadline (November 2nd). I've searched through some MGH threads on here but I haven't come across any discussing the Summer start!

Hello everyone! I called today and asked "Will we hear within the next week" and the answer was "You'll hear sooner than that". I'm not entirely sure how much sooner it could be than within the next week, but fingers crossed it's sometime tomorrow or Thursday! Good luck everyone- after reading through ABSN threads I'm a little hesitant as to whether I will be accepted to these programs as I am coming straight from my first undergraduate degree.

Mrp004, they said they would send an email with a link to click that will tell you whether or not you were accepted :)

I've been following this thread for a while now and I have been so anxious all week! This is my second time applying to MGH IHP so I am extremely nervous! I was wait listed for the Spring 2016 cohort, but I have no idea what will happen this time around! Last time we heard on September 8th which was just under the 10 week mark. I have a feeling we will hear by tomorrow! Good Luck everyone! Hopefully we will all be starting in May together!

Hey everyone, I had emailed a few days ago about something else but got a response today stating that since they were closed Dec 22- Jan 4th for holiday, that doesn't count in the 8-10 week turnaround time for decisions... That is completely different than what I was told on the phone a few days ago!!

i understand that they're on vacation, but we definitely should have known about that.

Im just confused because someone said that we would hear earlier than next week.

Not sure if this will be of much help, but last year, the decisions were available on 1/17, which I'm sure was a weekend day.

hopefully someone can call just to get some vague idea

Okay so around two days ago (1/12 around this time) I called and they didn't ask for my name or anything, I just asked if they knew when admissions decisions would be made available since it had been 10 weeks. I said "Maybe in a week or so?" and the guy who answered said "Definitely sooner than that, we are working on having them available!"

So I was e-mailing about my transcripts and just asked if they knew a tentative time decisions would be made available? I sent this email before I called two days ago and just got the response today, saying: We are currently finalizing admissions decisions for the Summer 2016 ABSN cohort. (As our offices were closed from December 22-January 4^th, this time was not included in the 8-10 week window.)

Once your admissions decision is available, you will receive an email communication from our office. At that time, you will be able to log in to your account online, to view your admissions decision.

So just looking at the calendar with their break accounted for, the 8th week would've started on January 11th (this week). So would that mean that we could hear anytime between the 11th and 29th at the latest?

I am still waiting to hear back from University of Rochester, Quinnipiac, UMass Amherst, Virginia Commonwealth University, Kent State and University of South Florida
