MGH Accelerated BSN Summer 2016

Hi everyone - I'm wondering if anyone else applied for MGH's Accelerated BSN program for Summer 2016? I submitted my application on the deadline (November 2nd). I've searched through some MGH threads on here but I haven't come across any discussing the Summer start!

Hey all - I can't wait to hear whether or not I got in in a few weeks. I am on the waitlist from Spring 2016 (still hopeful for that), but summer start would be awesome too! For spring, the applications were due July 1 and they sent out whether or not you got in on September 8th or 9th, so I'd say we've got at least another 3 weeks before we hear. Are most of you already living in the Boston area?

WOW! Its finally nice to see a thread started for the summer 2016 absn MGHIHP program! haha....I am still waiting to hear. I did get an email this morning from someone from admissions saying decisions should be sent out mid-january this month. I am so nervous about the program if i do get accepted. do you guys think it is doable for a single parent if anyone has heard anything??

Maria- did you send an email to admissions, or did they send that email to you out of the blue?

Accelerated programs are intense and fast-paced. At each of the information sessions I've been to, they've made it very clear that working while in the program is strongly discouraged (and near impossible). If you're motivated, have a strong support system behind you, and you're able to make the program your full time job for the next year and a half, you'll be fine!

Hey mrp1004 - I did send an email over winter break concerning something else. But within their response to my email they just voluntarily mentioned it in there as well that decisions will be sent out during the middle of this month. But thank you for the feedback about how doable the program is. I'm excited to hear decisions. I was able to reach out to a recent grad of the program this week and she gave me so much insight about how it is and finding out the details made me feel better and more confident.

Hey everyone! I have also applied for this program and I'm hoping we hear from them soon! I do have a question: has the status on the application page change for anyone? Mine still says "Application Status: Submitted" "Application is Complete for Review: Unofficial Documentation"

i keep checking my email incessantly.

im probably just gonna stop with the email checks and wait until someone here

posts that they were notified.

Today is 10 weeks exactly and I heard back from another school with an acceptance but I'm hoping to hear the same positive thing from MGHIP. Good luck to everyone!! Hopefully we hear something soon...
