  1. I am interested in applying for the ASN program at Becker College. May anyone let me know how intense it is and your experience with professors and clinical instructors, what scheduling looks like and if you can work while doing the program as well, and if you think the cost of the program is worth it? The answers to these questions and anything else you feel you'd like to share will be helpful thank you (I am aware though that the school has amazing recent NCLEX passing rates).

  3. @onyida98 I appreciate your response and sharing with me that you are a mother of 4! I give you so much credit! And you're so right I HAVE to prove them wrong! Thank you! :)
  4. congratulations everyone who has been accepted!! I got waitlisted. But I am still keeping the faith! haha :) The program tho really is a GREAT program! I was blessed enough to get in contact with some recent grads from the program and I heard nothing but GREAT feedback about the program! Best of luck to those who have been officially accepted!
  5. @FutureRNRI yes after reading all the negative things about kramer doesn't sound like a place i will want to go to. But i've applied to MGHIHP in Boston, and got wait listed but I hope to be accepted bc I was able to get insight from recent grads from MGHIHP nursing program and I got nothing but GREAT feedback! made me feel so much better about the school knowing I was getting recent info about it. i also am looking at Becker i was just told by their director they have multiple RN programs to fit the needs of people who may have different educational backgrounds, a but pricey bc it is a private school but their NCLEX passing rate for 2014 was the top 2nd or 3rd school in MA (2015 i couldn't find for any school yet around the time i was looking). are u trying to get a BSN or Associates in nursing? i do know of other schools just easier for me to list the ones ur maybe interested in depending on the status ur looking for if it matters...
  6. wow! well thank you for the heads up!! i too have read a lot of negative experiences with the kramer school of nursing. I'm so glad you posted this!
  7. Hey mrp1004 - I did send an email over winter break concerning something else. But within their response to my email they just voluntarily mentioned it in there as well that decisions will be sent out during the middle of this month. But thank you for the feedback about how doable the program is. I'm excited to hear decisions. I was able to reach out to a recent grad of the program this week and she gave me so much insight about how it is and finding out the details made me feel better and more confident.
  8. hey @maqer do u think the program is doable for single moms?? was it a miserable intense program at ugh or a positive intense?
  9. HI! Please if anyone knows how the program at MGHIHP is and can let me know how intense and doable it is that would be GREAT! And if anyone attended who was a single mother during the program wouldn't mind sharing their experience with me will be well appreciated as well. I'm a single mother of a 2 year old and I want to obtain my BSN degree quickly. I realize it is intense but does anyone who been through the program think it really is DOABLE for a SINGLE MOTHER of one child???? I had so much confidence about going but now that the time is getting closer to hear if i'm accepted or not Im EXTREMELY nervous (ever since a family member came by being kind of negative about me attending an accelerated program) made me feel uneasy about actually going now. If they were a little more cheaper i feel like i wouldn't be as nervous to go but because they are expensive I'm nervous to have so much debt in my name if i can't do it and can't graduate. PLEASE! if anyone can please share their experience in the accelerated nursing program at MGH Institute of Health professions i will REALLY appreciate it!! Thank you.
  10. WOW! Its finally nice to see a thread started for the summer 2016 absn MGHIHP program! haha....I am still waiting to hear. I did get an email this morning from someone from admissions saying decisions should be sent out mid-january this month. I am so nervous about the program if i do get accepted. do you guys think it is doable for a single parent if anyone has heard anything??
  11. Hello i was hoping you can give me some advice or suggestions about being a new student in the abs program at MGHIHP if i get accepted. i am really nervous, a single mom of a 2yr old, would think it is doable for someone like me being a single mom?? how intense is it?? i know its intense but is it like miserable intense or a more positive intense if that makes sense lol...hopefully i hear back thank you.
  12. hey not sure if my previous reply went through bc when i hit sent i was redirected to a blank screen but if it wasn't i was curious to know how the absn program was at MGHIHP and if u have any advice or suggestions for new students. also if u think it is doable for a single mother; plus if u knew anyone within the program with u who was a single parent and if possible if u can share what u witnessed about their experience. hope to hear back. thank you. (and CONGRATULATIONS for graduating! awesome!)
  13. Thank you for your response. I'm all over the place looking for schools and the Kramer school of nursing is expensive.
  14. Hi I know I'm just jumping in but how is the accelerated bsn program going for u so far?? Do you think it is doable for a single parent?? How much is it for the program for commuters? I would call the school but it's winter break right now as I'm sure you know haha. I hope to hear back. Thanks :snowman:
  15. PLEASE HELP!!! I've been searching to find the exact figure (or close to) the tuition cost for the accelerated bsn and traditional bsn program for the Kramer school of nursing in Oklahoma. I did look at their website but they have everything broken down it is sort of confusing; I think I have an idea but I'm not quite sure so wanted to ask someone who knows. I also would like to hear about some personal experiences of recent graduates from within the last 2 yrs of the program. I would like to know how many students either failed/ dropped out the programs if any, and if being a single mother of a 2 yr old is doable within the accelerated bsn program. After doing a lot of research during this winter break I found that this school really does interest me. How is Oklahoma and is there daycares close to the school? I live in MA and if need be I will definitely move to Oklahoma to attend Kramer if I decide this school and if accepted. Does anyone have any stories of either yourself or knowing someone who was a single parent and was successful in the program and graduated from kramer??? I do have a BA and I know financial aid isn't really funded for a second bachelor degree. Does anyone know of any way I could receive money for the second degree or anything for single mothers such as grants etc... I know I've written a lot and I'll end it right here for now. I really hope to hear back from a majority of people. Thank you. M.S.
