Yup, I'm working again this year. Every Christmas for the last five years.
And the grinch took away our Christmas and New Years meals in cost cutting measures. So much for sitting and sharing a meal on the quietest day of the year to work.
Have a good one and drive safe on those snowy roads.

Merry Christmas toa ll. I too am working Xmas Eve & then New Year, having worked all Xmas last year it's nice to be off!
Bah Humbug to the Grinch heading AHS over the meals - even though it was pretty awful really (speaking from Calgary only of course) it was the thought that counted!

We still got a free meal what was nice, and I agree the thought is what counts.
Hope everyone had a nice christmas.

There were still a lot of people who hadn't heard that our "festive meal" had been canceled and came to work yesterday without food. Our unit clerk brought in a huge tub of homemade perogies, the charge nurse brought chips and dip, one of our lovely Filapina nurses brought spring rolls and sweet buns, oh my goodness there was a lot of food!
On Christmas Eve, not long before first lunch went off for their breaks, our attending got on the intercom and said, " There will be Japanese food coming for all staff and it will be in the staff lounge in a little while, so save room. Oh, and stop eating cookies." He ordered in enough food for all of us to have both lunch and supper! It was wonderful.
