Merry Christmas to y'all too. And yes, none of this hell lasts forever. After this I will have only one more Christmas left (aka 608 days) until I can jump off this hellish carnival ride.
At this point I am at least closer to the end than the beginning. I have realized that I can't change the horrible monster that many of these programs have become but if I can pass on some small bit of advice or answer some question or even a wry chuckle (some days if ya don't laugh, you'll cry.) then I have helped someone in some way and for that I can feel good.
So on that note, merry Christmas, happy and safe new year.....and we will all get through this... because (repeat after me) we are **** good nurses...got that y'all

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!
I just wanted to take a brief moment to wish all of you and the people you care about a very Merry Christmas. You have all provided much needed support for me regardless of opinion on recovery, monitoring or whatever. This is the time of year to give thanks and we all do have things to be thankful for. With respect to monitoring, remember that this program doesn't last forever. This is my second Christmas in monitoring land and I have two more to go. Many of us have been through much and we have much more to go through but we are getting through this "one day at a time" (funny coming from me). This program takes much but it doesn't take all from us. All of you are wonderful people who take your time to reach out to others in a very dark place who are terrified of what the present and future holds & in my book that makes you all good folks. This program hasn't taken away the very essence of you. You are good people and good nurses. Continue to fight the good fight and don't give into despair.
Happy Holidays,
