Hello everyone,

I'm looking into bridging into this program and wanted to know if there are any students out there (current or former) that would be able to provide information for this program. Such as quality of program, difficulty getting in, etc.... I do know that they are now accredited by ACEN. Any information would be great.

Hey, I am actually in the process of applying to their LPN-to-RN program that starts May 2017. I attended one of those information sessions, which are mandatory before you're able to apply. One of my LPN classmates is currently attending, she says its doable and she likes it.

I do know that its two evenings per week, 3pm-10pm and one clinical day 7a-7pm at the hospital. Only PEDS rotations will be held at Miami Children's Hospital. There is no financial aid, so you have to pay as you go. The first 4 months the payments are between 500-600 and after that the payment goes down to 300-400.

The NLN was fair to me. It wasn't your regular entrance exam with anatomy, chem, math, etc. The test was 100 questions similar to what was on the boards. So, whatever you used to study for your boards will suffice to study for this test. I did not study and went in blind, luckily I passed. Any more questions, just ask!

I am also interested in this school and plan on attending the information session this February but i am extremely surprised that there is no financial aide. Is there anyway to finance this cost other than out of pocket?

Tapping into savings or private loans, I suppose. That is the only downside.

It sounds doable. My only concern is that I really need to work while attending the program so I hope I will be able to manage both. When do you think you will be hearing from them to see if you accepted for the upcoming class?

Scholarships should be also available as the program is accredited.

That is what I was considering and alsp career source and agency funding.

i will also be at the lpn-rn transition info session at pbsc on dec 5th.

I have friends that are about to graduate from PBSC, they love it there. I will be at the transition information meeting as well.

However I never went to LPN school, per se. I was in an RN program but unfortunately the school shuttered during my last semester :( I was able to sit for the lpn boards because I finished enough classes in my RN program to be eligible for the NCLEX-PN

Ah ok! I understand. Are you going to try to finish your RN at your current school, or do you plan on just going to another program?
