Creating this to give an insight into the process of applying to Mercy Hospital College of Nursing. I've attended the information session. I took the NLN entrance exam and got a 78% overall score. (73% is passing) I'm waiting to see whats the next step once the administrator sends the needed information. Let's see whats next.

Hello guys, I'm in the second semester now. It's a LITTLE easier than the first semester because I have one class at a time instead of 4 classes at once but it's still challenging. The semester is split into 3 classes: psych, maternal/newborn, pediatrics. Each class is about 6 weeks long.
I first started with Psych or mental health and that class is HARD. My best recommendation for that class is to read the book (you can rent it on amazon), read the outlines that is provided, and to do as much practice questions as possible. I also bought the book Psychiatric nursing made incredibly easy and that helped me alot. I got a B+ but it was EXTREMELY hard.
I have now moved onto Maternal/Newborn, I have my first test tomorrow but the information is the same (from when I learned it in LPN school) it's just reinforcing the information and more interventions as the RN role.
I'll update again once I reach the end of the semester. Let me know if there's any questions.
