Creating this to give an insight into the process of applying to Mercy Hospital College of Nursing. I've attended the information session. I took the NLN entrance exam and got a 78% overall score. (73% is passing) I'm waiting to see whats the next step once the administrator sends the needed information. Let's see whats next.

Morning, For those who want to take the NLN exam there is some topics you should focus on. MATERNITY (there was alot of maternity questions), safety, proper communication between nurse and patient, and Maslow's Hierarchy.

Hi. I wanted to apply Mercy Hospital LPN to RN. How do I get to go to the information sessions? I called them and they said they will send more information in the mail. Does their program only start in August?

Where did you study from?

Hi Stacy, no they have entry date in Jan, May, and August. I will be attending the May entry date. The deadline was March 6. I believe the deadline for August term is in May.

Hey congrats on passing the NLN entrance exam. I passed with a 78% also :). I am starting in the May term. Which term are going for ?

I am applying for the August term and I submitted all the necessary documents.

I studied from my NCLEX book, personally I wouldn't buy the NLN book because the questions more related to what was in the NCLEX book. I also would recommend focus on everything but focus on maternity and therapeutic communication between nurse and patient. I had A LOT of questions on that and when I talked to other they said the same thing.

The information session was good and informative. You have to go to a information session as one of the requirements for admission. They will send information but you still have to attend an information session. No have multiple program such as January, May, and August.

I have a question Did you get accepted into the May class? And if so how long did it take from the deadline until they got back to you to let you know about the acceptance? Was it like 1-2 weeks or longer?
