Published

Creating this to give an insight into the process of applying to Mercy Hospital College of Nursing. I've attended the information session. I took the NLN entrance exam and got a 78% overall score. (73% is passing) I'm waiting to see whats the next step once the administrator sends the needed information. Let's see whats next.

Yes but I can only speak for the RN but I know the LPN it's Monday-Friday from 7-3pm. The ADN/RN for the first semester it's 3 days a week/28hrs a week and second and third semester it's 20hrs a week/2 days (but there has been talk that it may be 3 days for second semester). And it's possible to work I worked part time during the first semester and then went to full time. I know people who worked full time for first semester and were able to manage classes and clinical. The one advice is that the first semester is very very demanding and requires alot of focus so please take that into consideration.

WOW!!, super helpful info, tx!!

7-3 every day PLUS HOMEWORK!

I would probably need to study the rest of the day! I'm not a fast study ? :'(

What kind of work did you find?

I do love the program because it's really designed for working people who want to get their RN. The professors are great and some are just there but overall all the professors want you to succeed. Like everything in life, it's not perfect but if you put the effort in you will receive results.

I don't know at this point what kind of nurse I want to be as of yet. I am in between a PACU/Telemetry, Ortho, or just a medsurg nurse. I'm not sure yet.

What about you?

sounds like you already have alot of experience:)

I am aiming to do post partum :)

were you working as an lpn during the prog.? I really need to find work and hope it will be connected to MCH nursing... what are the jobs the girls are doing ?

I'm not from Fla... not sure where to start
