Updated:   Published

Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who applying or got accepted to mercy college in ny for Spring 20

OsiriaRose Congratulations!

Do you mind sharing your stats?

@OsiriaRose thank you.. go celebrate!!

I hope I hear something. I just sent my official transcript from my school

Thank you! Good luck to everyone ?

@sabina20My Bachelors GPA was a 3.4. Then I took several different pre reqs from another college and got striaght A's and obtained a 4.0 GPA there.

I believe they take the average of the two so I'm not sure what my overall GPA turned out to be.

I applied August 28th.

Thank you so much! I applied in the middle of September.

Hey everyone I was accepted for spring 2020, but will be attending PACE ABSN. Good luck to everyone!

Hello my name is daysi. I am apply for summer or fall 2020. I only saw fall 2020, it didnt have an option for summer. I would like to hear someone’s opinion on how the program is going for them. I live in Long Island, I dont know if I should commute or dorm there. I hate how this forum doesnt let you contact the anyone personally, you can contact me on instagram: _daysixo or email me at [email protected]

I REALLY think they take a holistic approach. My cumulative GPA was just below the minimum requirement at 2.9. To be very honest I didn't take school very seriously. I think what made my application packet strong was:

-my pre-req grades, (mostly A-)

-I can confidently say my essay and letter of recommendation were pretty damn good.

-the year of volunteer experience I had

So, don't let the GPA worry you too much. Your experience can definitely win them over as well as your essay and LOR

my gpa is a 2.98 do you think i have a shot? i have a lot of volunteer and health care hours with strong letters

@daysi maribel

I live in long Island also! I plan on commuting as I don't think they have dorms at the bronx campus.

They just announced they were having a summer semester so they will probably put it in the system soon.

  1. to apply do you use the under grad link? im having trouble with finidng a direct link to the nursing program?

@someoneacceptme

Yeah, they take average GPA from every school you went to and count that as your overall GPA.

The nursing director said they don't really look at your letter of recommendations but it won't hurt to submit it. What they are looking for is a really good well written essay with no grammar errors and your resume.

They do take the holistic approach. I think the main reason I got in was because I had really good essay and resume.

thank you so so much! appreciate the response. i am a private tutor for essays and personal statements so the paper and my resume are literally the strongest parts of my application. fingers crossed. im already 25 and feel so behind..i really want this. congrats again! im sure you will do great
