MERCY ABSN 20 NY

Updated:   Published

Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who applying or got accepted to mercy college in ny for Spring 20

Oo wow didn’t think it be so soon. I thought they were going to let people finish they’re degree. Did they tell you how many they were accepting and how the class schedule is?

This term they are accepting 70 students with at least 60 spots left for the Spring.

Apparently, there are at least 10 - 12 students who got accepted into the fall but have been deferred to the spring. They had too many applicants so they couldn't keep them all. They maxed out at 90 seats for the fall. This term they are making sure to stick with only 70 accepted students.

My friend got accepted during the fall and her schedule is amazing. She has class Tuesday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

O wow thank you so much for the information. This Saturday they have a information session im going but I hope they have enough seats since I don’t graduate till dec from my current program and they are still pushing me to apply and continue and wait

You're welcome ?

Good luck, I hope it all works out. I will be attending the Saturday open house as well so I'll see you there.

Hello Everyone,

I just checked my admissions account at Mercy and it looks like it's been updated!!

I was provided with a CWID and an option to pay the deposit fee to secure a seat. However, I was not notified of any decisions yet.

Does anyone else have this on their end??

@OsiriaRose no nothing yet... what does your friend think about the classes are they organized and actually following a syllabus.. I heard in other school you pretty much teaching yourself and the professor don’t follow the syllabus and the exam be on topics never discuss

I’m planning to apply for spring as well! Just one question, when is the application deadline for spring or for fall?

The official deadline for Spring semester's application is December 1st. They are currently accepting 32 students for the term (but it is likely that they'll accept more than 32). Good luck!

Thank you. The number of seats available keeps getting lowered

You are welcome!

That's only because they ended up accepting more than the amount that was initially planned for this semester.

Does anyone know if you must have all pre-reqs completed in order to apply or is it okay if you have some in progress? I applied for the Spring 2020 term but I am currently completing my last pre-req:Micro and graduating in December.

If you haven't applied yet, I was told they are no longer taking anymore applications for Spring 2020.

You need to have a complete application to be reviewed. All pre-reqs need to be completed or they won't look at your application. They stressed this information during the open house.

It sucks they are only taking 32 now. Initially I was told they were taking 70 and now it dropped significantly. However, if you don't get into the spring you can apply to their Summer Semester.

hi all! I literally didn't even know had an ABSN program. I looked at the program pre reqs and it says

B.A. or B.S. degree

GPA of 3.0 or higher

Personal Statement (500 words - Why you want to become a nurse)

Please note: Applicants with under a 3.0 GPA can apply to this program. Students may be considered for an admissions interview at the discretion of the Nursing program.

If you are considered, a Program Director will contact you.

I have a 2.97 but have a lot of upper level science classes. only pre req I'm taking RN is ap2..my statement is really unique. I have 3 letter of recs too. do you guys reccomend I apply? or its too late?
