hi there,

I am currently in the program and is tough and easy at the same time like depend which semester you are in. Some of the professors are amazing and others well cuz majority of the courses are online so we are communicate through emails and they don't respond for like few days which is annoying. You can work and study at the same time which I am doing but it a lot of work so you have to stay on top with all works you have to do. The class schedule is depend on which semester you are in like in first semester they can have classes on some days like 3x a week and one day a clinical. No need to sorry wish someone had helped me when I started this program.

Good Luck

Really appreciate prompt response. They have weekday and weekend program, I am still debating if I should do Weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And try to work from Monday and Thursday. It seems too packed. Should I work as CNA or HHA as part time to gain more medical experiences? Your answer is very helpful, since none of I know people can do both at the same time. But I need to make a living as well. Thank for make time to respond me. I hope one day I could help others as you did.

Thank you so much for recommend me, I was not able to sleep these days since I got accepted. I even think about to join military in order to cover the tuition. Are you currently in Mercy College ABSN? Or you already graduated? How do you feel for the program? Do you like it? Are professor supportive? I may work and study at same time, do you think it's possible? How was the class schedule? I am sorry to ask so many questions. I really appreciate if you could respond me, I know you may busy as well. Many thanks and good luck for your career.

Yes and thank you! I’m in my second to last semester now. Because of Covid a lot of classes that were supposed to be in person ended up being online but I believe starting in Fall things will be back on regular in-person schedule. I feel I was able to work because I didn’t spend any time commuting. The class schedule depends on what semester you are in. Everyone moves in cohorts according to when you start the program but basically the classes schedule in terms of what classes you take in each semester are the same - when you take them depends on when you start the program. I’ve done an accelerated program already for my LPN so I’m used to the non-stop work load but I must say it is nice to be on college schedule and have a few weeks off between semesters. The first semester is definitely the most workload and you’re taking the most classes. Stay super organized and study and all should be well. Also I saw you were asking about the discover loans, you should be okay to apply with that credit score without a co-signer. Make sure before you apply you really speak with someone regarding the EXACT cost each semester. There are registration fees and nursing program fees each semester that add up to the total cost of the program. My financial aid advisor broke it down to the dollar for me for each semester and I really appreciated it, my loans paid out with no problems. Financial aid was definitely a big concern of mine so I totally understand.

Hi Thank you, do you know how high credit score require? I only have 700. I worry since I start in Spring 2022, I can cover Spring but can't cover Summer semester...., and there will be two Summer semesters correct?

I can’t remember my exact score, but at the time I know it was somewhere in the 700s. Unfortunately, discover doesn’t disclose a minimum score needed, but as soon as you sign up for one, they’ll let you know if you need a co-signer or not. Also, I don’t attend Mercy’s nursing program, I go to another school, so I'm not too sure about how the semesters work. I went to Mercy when I received my health science degree. I hope you get all the info you’re looking for though! Good luck with everything!

Hi, I started at Spring 2022, I am really nervous. I lives in queens, I got accepted in Queens Campus for College of Mount Saint Vincent for Fall 2021, then my friend said that college does not have good reputation, student got kicked out easily. I was scared, and of course Mercy College is cheaper as well, just 3 months longer than CMSV. I have no medical experiences, good for you that you are a LPN already. That's why I was thinking if I should get a HHA or CNA certificate to find a job to work in medical field. I have business degree doing accounting work. You don't need to bring patient home but I need to bring work home. When it comes to monthly closing, it drives me crazy. I do not think I could do my accounting job after program start. Do you have any medical position or certificate that suggest me to take it? Again, many thanks for sharing and your time, are you graduated in August this year? Since you started in 2020 Spring.

Hey, thank you! If you do not mind, which college nursing program you attending now? Is it good? Wish you all the best as well

Thank you! I started at Concordia back in September & then found out they were closing, so I wanted to transfer to another school. I dropped out & took some time do some research, & searched for schools who offered second degree nursing programs. I saw Manhattanville because it was close to me. A few months ago I was excepted to their Fall 2021 program, which begins this August. I was missing Genetics as a prereq, so I’m currently taking that now online. I heard the program was good, but I’m not 100% sure, but my fingers are crossed for a smooth ride! LOL

Hi girl, one thing, please double check if Manhattanville college is accredited by CCNE or ACEN. Otherwise, your degree may not recognized by employer. Please confirm with school. Even they are ongoing applying for accreditation, but it not guarantee got approved. So please ask school and ask more nurses.

I thank you so much for letting me know! I didn’t even know about that. I double checked though & they are accredited. Thanks again!

Hello! I am currently in the ABSN cohort and will be graduating this December. Has anyone already graduated recently? I need some help with one of the courses I am taking and I do not know anyone to ask about certain classes nor do I have any connections. It would be greatly appreciated if I can ask you a few questions about a course I am taking in order to graduate. Thanks!

Hello guys, I wanted to know for the people that started the program January 2020 and finished in august 2021.What date was the pinning ceremony?? Did you guys walk in May 2021 as well??
