Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who applying or got accepted to mercy college in ny for Spring 20
Good luck to all of you. Make sure you have a paper trail when getting information. Mercy College is messy. It sucks that you already experience some of the disorganization. I can't wait to graduate in August. I transferred from CNR once they closed and it's just been hell since. But good luck again
Hi for all of you currently in the program now, do you guys know if Mercy is accredited? I couldn’t find anything about their Accelerated program being accredited but I know their traditional 4-year BSN program is accredited through CCNE. I was just wondering if they had to have a second one for their accelerated program.

Hey, yes the ABSN program is accredited. The cohort that finished in December have been able to take their NCLEX with no problems (aside from Covid causing the exam to be postponed).

So far from what you’ve experienced in Mercy’s program, what would you recommend or any advice you could give to the fall cohort coming after you or even your fellow classmates?

Sure, stay very organized and ask questions when you’re not sure. I’ve kept in email contact with advisors constantly during the process until everything was set with my financial aid and enrollment so now I can just focus on school. Use a planner to write due dates down - especially when classes start. I’m personally enjoying the program and the professors. The professors I have are very understanding & practical since everything is online now. Be prepared to study!! Best of luck ?

hey! yes the school will be doing some in person classes next semester. our lab classes are in person and we have the option to come in person or do virtual for some classes, and then other classes are completely online. as far as supplies def the regulars like notebook, index cards, highlighters things like that and then you will get your nursing bag with the equipment you need for nursing skills

also, how has the program been overall?
good luck! I got an email in the evening hours about my acceptance exactly two weeks after I applied. & then a phone call the next morning. the program is great, admin can be a mess and it can be heard to reach people but the professors are amazing and you will definitely learn alot. be prepared to studyyy!!
Thanks and thanks so much for responding!
How close to the deadline did you apply? The app just opened and I was told by admissions that decisions come out by Nov 30. I feel that I have a good chance but IDK. I'm registered for some other pre-reqs at my local CC for another ABSN program in NJ that I may be applying to on Sept 1 and I'm hoping that I can find out a decision from Mercy before September so that I will not have to take any extra classes. I'm not tryna "put all my eggs in one basket" just in case Mercy doesn't come through... ughh this is soo stressful already.
Did you apply to any other schools?

all but one of my professors are amazing. but def some disorganization with admin & I think it’s cause everything is online. admin can be hard to get a hold of. but hopefully that gets better.
