Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who applying or got accepted to mercy college in ny for Spring 20

How close to the deadline did you apply? The app just opened and I was told by admissions that decisions come out by Nov 30. I feel that I have a good chance but IDK. I'm registered for some other pre-reqs at my local CC for another ABSN program in NJ that I may be applying to on Sept 1 and I'm hoping that I can find out a decision from Mercy before September so that I will not have to take any extra classes. I'm not tryna "put all my eggs in one basket" just in case Mercy doesn't come through... ughh this is soo stressful already.
Did you apply to any other schools?
uhmmm I cant remember how close to the deadline but I def didn't apply early. if you did well in your pre reqs and have a strong personal essay then I think you have a good chance too, Spring is so far away so I think nov is pretty accurate about when you hear back, I don't think youll hear back by sept 1. yes I applied to suny downstate but wouldnt have been able to start until 2021. look into them as well, far cheaper than mercy

Apparently, there are at least 10 - 12 students who got accepted into the fall but have been deferred to the Spring. They had too many applicants so they couldn't keep them all. They maxed out at 90 seats for the fall. This term they are making sure to stick with only 70 accepted students.
My friend got accepted during the fall and her schedule is amazing. She has class Tuesday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Hi, I got accepted in Fall 2021 for weekday program. I am having financial issue, I would like to know how the class schedule looks like, so I could work as part time. I already have a full time job from 9 to 5 from Monday to Friday. By the way, are you graduating now? How do you think about this program? Do you recommend it? If so, could you show me the syllabus about how those classes looks like? I am so sorry that ask so many questions. I am very nervous. I appreciate your sharing

I would look for another company with lower interest rates OR... you can see this as an investment and take the loan and have it forgiven by working in needed area. That’s also another option
Hi, I have no cosigner, can I borrow from Sallie Mae? I got accepted in Spring 2022. And we only could borrow 1000 on top of Federal loan from Sallie Mae? Please help, I am looking for private loan to cover the rest amount that was not able to cover by federal loan. I do appreciate for your help.

Thank you so much for recommend me, I was not able to sleep these days since I got accepted. I even think about to join military in order to cover the tuition. Are you currently in Mercy College ABSN? Or you already graduated? How do you feel for the program? Do you like it? Are professor supportive? I may work and study at same time, do you think it's possible? How was the class schedule? I am sorry to ask so many questions. I really appreciate if you could respond me, I know you may busy as well. Many thanks and good luck for your career.

hi there,
I am currently in the program and is tough and easy at the same time like depend which semester you are in. Some of the professors are amazing and others well cuz majority of the courses are online so we are communicate through emails and they don't respond for like few days which is annoying. You can work and study at the same time which I am doing but it a lot of work so you have to stay on top with all works you have to do. The class schedule is depend on which semester you are in like in first semester they can have classes on some days like 3x a week and one day a clinical. No need to sorry wish someone had helped me when I started this program.
Good Luck

Hi Thank you, do you know how high credit score require? I only have 700. I worry since I start in Spring 2022, I can cover Spring but can't cover Summer semester...., and there will be two Summer semesters correct?

As long as you put your best foot forward with the personal statement you will be OK. As for how long it took them to respond the date they give you is the date they’ll have a reply for you. Nearly tore my hair out waiting. Good luck !
