I am willing to share my class schedule. However, please note that each semester varies. My friend who started a semester ahead of me had a completely different schedule. Their first semester had 4 days of classes through the week whereas I have 3 days. So I can't guarantee it will be similar for the next semesters to come. The program is constantly making changes. Monday: 9:00am - 5:30pm Wednesday: 7:00am - 12:00pm (clinical day) Thursday: 9:00am - 6:30pm

My semester is going well so far and the teachers are really good. They care a lot and they are willing to work with you and guide you. However, being that the program just started this school year everything has been a little unorganized, but again the professors are willing to work with you through everything.

You're not wrong! When I got accepted this January 2020, they told me during my application process that I didn't need my high school transcript until I got accepted. So only when I got accepted did I submit my hs transcript. I submitted my high school transcript a week after my acceptance and they were okay with that. I guess they changed it for the summer and fall application.

@FiddleStackssNYC You don't need to submit your high school transcripts until you get accepted. At least that's how it was for me during my acceptance to the school.

@futureLaDnurse My commute to Mercy College is about a 35-40 minute drive depending on traffic.

@futureLaDnurse Hey, yes I did. Congrats on getting it ? looking forward to meeting you during orientation next week! I actually just decided to just drive to school every day. The commute sucks but at least they have a parking lot on campus. Classes are only 3x a week so at least we won't be traveling every day.

I got my acceptance to the Spring 2020 semester on November 5th. A few others was also admitted. So I'm not sure if there are any spots left but I would speak to ————- directly regarding the status of your application as he is the one who knows first hand what's going on. He handles all of the acclerated nursing degree applications.

@someoneacceptme You're very welcome ? I wish you the best of luck. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Oh and I totally get how you feel!! I'm 26 myself and I feel the same way.

@someoneacceptme Yeah, they take average GPA from every school you went to and count that as your overall GPA. The nursing director said they don't really look at your letter of recommendations but it won't hurt to submit it. What they are looking for is a really good well written essay with no grammar errors and your resume. They do take the holistic approach. I think the main reason I got in was because I had really good essay and resume.

@daysi maribel I live in long Island also! I plan on commuting as I don't think they have dorms at the bronx campus. They just announced they were having a summer semester so they will probably put it in the system soon.

Thank you! Good luck to everyone ? @sabina20My Bachelors GPA was a 3.4. Then I took several different pre reqs from another college and got striaght A's and obtained a 4.0 GPA there. I believe they take the average of the two so I'm not sure what my overall GPA turned out to be. I applied August 28th.

Thank you! No, you don't have to submit a recommendation letter.

Hi Everyone, I just heard back from Mercy College today and I just got accepted. So I will be starting this Spring 2020.

@special-kthey just announced that they are having a Summer semester this Saturday so it's probably still new. I'm sure they will put it in the system later on. Mercy College just started this new ABSN program 7 weeks ago so they are constantly making changes. I would just submit your application asap. Admissions told everyone the earlier the better! And you can always call their office and request for your application to be placed in the Summer. You can call ————. He is the admissions staff in charge of all acclerated nursing applications. Good luck!

@special-k sure. I was told that Spring 2020 Semester is closed and they are no longer taking applications. Applications that didn't make it on time can be either moved to the Summer or Fall Semester - you would need to tell admissions which semester. For the people who did apply in time for Spring 2020, they told us decisions will be given no later than November 15th. You will be informed by phone and email. Once you hear from them, three things that will happen: you will either get accepted, deferred to the next semester, or you will get denied. They did not tell us how many spots will be open for the Summer or Fall 2020 but we do know only 32 will be admitted for Spring. As far as scheduling goes, you will have 2 days of classes during the week and 1 day of clinical. Classes will be all day and clinical will be 5 hours starting at 7am. Hope this helps! I'll be more than happy to answer any other questions.
