Merced College Applicants Fall 2019 Spring 2020

Aw man this waiting is killing me! Even though this is my first time applying I still have some hope..... I know some even get accepted on their first try so ???. So I was thinking, if I see that e mail it will be good but now it could be bad or good. I really think we will hear back from them sooner, hopefully. Because last year the application period was later, this year hopefully we will hear back april.

Yeah people get in on their first try! Just a matter of luck I guess. No the people getting denied will receive an email and a letter. People getting accepted and alternates will only receive a letter. So getting an email is not good. Means bad news!!

I think it’s 25-30 per semester. It says something on the website, depends on funding.

The past two years they’ve accepted 27 per semester. It may change ??‍♀️

I can’t help but wonder if they’re almost done selecting ? I wish we could know earlier, all I’ve ever wanted to be is a nurse???

Same here! I just want to know. Even though its my first time applying I still have hope I will get in. I know 2 people that got in on their first try to Merced's program. Taking prerequisites, AS, and going through the EMT program took me a while, I just want all this to be over with. I just want to be a Registered Nurse already! ???????

I remember reading through these threads in the past and thinking to myself how lucky all these people were because they were already applying to RN programs, never knew how stressful this was!

@IreneRN I wish I was as positive as you!! I’ve been soooo negative since the first time I applied. This is my second time applying and I’m not expecting to get in until my 3rd or, obviously for sure, my 4th try. Lol, it’s so stressful! ?

I also have my days that I feel like my turn will never come but I get myself up again and start thinking positive! Where else have u applied?

@IreneRN I haven’t applied anywhere else. I’m planning on applying to Delta but I need to take a human development online class this summer before I apply. I also want to retake one of my sciences so I can try to get into MJC. I definitely don’t have enough points for that program right now lol. I wanted to apply to Fresno but some stuff came up and I wasn’t able to so I will try for that program next January. What about you?
