Men who sleep with multiple women REDUCE their risk of prostate cancer

According to a new study, men who sleep with multiple women are almost a third less likely to develop the disease.

Researchers found men who have more than 20 notches on their bedpost slashed their risk of prostate cancer by 28 per cent.

And the study also revealed that men who have slept with more than 20 women reduced their chances of getting the most aggressive tumors by 19 per cent.

Celibacy, on the other hand, doubles the risk of the disease.

Sounds like an excuse for men to sleep around. My ex will be prostate cancer free for life, hence why he's an ex.

Haha. Daily Mail is something of a joke. Wishful thinking.

Seriously, nothing funny about the disease.

Yep, I recall an article in their "science" section about beer being discovered on the planet Mars.

It is one of my favorite "news" sites, though.

Like the above poster I'm dubious that the source is the Daily Mail. Anybody who has ever  lived in the UK knows what an unreliable rag it is.

The study referenced:

Great. Reading the actual source article is much better, and I note it  states this:

"Alternatively, physical trauma to the prostate is believed to significantly increase serum PSA levels [24] . Should receptive anal intercourse result in prostatic trauma, higher PSA levels, along with higher PCa diagnosis rates, would be expected to be observed among men engaging in it. Potentially, the physical pounding of the prostate gland during receptive anal intercourse may itself possibly lead to a greater risk of PCa; previous studies have linked the receipt of physical trauma to the breast [25] and the testicles [26] with breast and testicular cancers."

..which is what I speculated above.

I don't doubt the Daily Mail's source but it's the way they often present things which is dubious. They are serial gay bashers, and let's not forget this is the "newspaper" that in its anti-EU frenzy tried to erroneously convince the British public that the EU wanted to insist all bananas be straight (no pun intended!)
