Men in Nursing Calendar

Ok, so this post starts as a joke on the unit I work.

we finished up remodeling our home unit, and the staff was joking around, and I hopped on the counter and someone snapped a photo.... long story short, now people want to do a calendar. Any thoughts? We are in Southwest Ohio. I know it has been done in the past in other states to advertise to men to join Nursing, This one could be used for that, or just for fun. Kind of like the "Firefighter/EMT" calendars that are out there, just for Nursing.

ok, maybe to clarify, the poses would be in different settings in the hospital, doing "Nurse" stuff. eg, looking up from a chart, standing by a patients room, helping someone, etc. clothed in scrubs. no illicit poses or topless poses. just men who are nurses working.

We have a Men in Nursing calender in NJ. It's great, seems to get a lot of positive feedback. For those that think it's degrading, pretty much all the shots are of men in their work enviornment or with their families, no bare chested shots of guys on a beach or anything like that. The calender shows each nurse's educational background, where they work and what their specialty is, and how they became interested in the profession. They have everything from new grads all the way up to nearly retirement age nurse's.

I think it is a great idea! I would pose for it, and also probably wouldn't buy it, however.

Sorry but no calendar of guys is going to interest me in anything. However it is a fun idea if you avoid the beefcake shots. Maybe some profits could go to a good cause. Good luck.

So long as it's done tastefully it could actually be helpful to male nurses.
