Nurses Men

Published

I don't mind giving bed baths, wound care, dressing, etc at all.. But when it comes to male perineal care, I hestitate. And I dont mean just washing around the member, its the pulling back of the foreskin and cleaning I can't allways do.:imbar Any one know to overcome this anxiety?

No one likes doing it. Just take a deep breath and think of something else.... It'll be over before you know it. It doesn't require THAT much cleaning :D

Men don't have peri areas do they?

um, me neither... ughhh - that kind of detail is not for me... if it's not an emergency, I can't bring myself to get that intricate... sorry!

A friend of mine worked as an aide while in NS and told me he was advised by a peer with military experience to "choke it like a chicken."

Those words of wisdom have served both of us well.

Not to get nitpicky or anything, but this is not really true worldwide.

Foreskins are not that difficult to clean under, really.

Thanks for allowing me to post my :twocents:.

I was referring to the United States since the OP lives in the United States. The US is the only country in the world who routinely circumsizes. We all know it's now as routine as it used to be but it's still extremely common :twocents:

Will you own up to the resulting UTI or is that too much for you too?

Come on now, its only a member. If you aren't going to do your job properly, why are you doing it at all?

It's funny. I remember clearly that I was quite the fan of lady partss in my pre-nursing life, but these days the occassional member is kind of a relief.

I'm sure glad I don't feel threatened by this. Really I don't.
