Memorial Health Care Nurse Residency 2020

Hey everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the Memorial Healthcare Nurse Residency program in Hollywood, FL. I know that interviews should start in May so I thought it would be great if we could communicate here! I applied to the July 2020 cohort. Anyone else? I'm hoping for the NICU. What units did you guys select?

No, I know people in the special clinical program that got offers in medical/surgical/tele though they applied with interests in specialties. I saw a FB post of someone that works there and they have a rise of covid-19 cases.

I haven't heard of any external applicants getting a call though

I'm curious if you guys updated your resume and reuploaded it since it seems like we can edit our submission. It's been a while since we applied and since then I've got my license and updated my resume a bit. IDK if I should reupload the updated resume or just leave it alone since they know we applied a while ago ?

I haven't because I'm afraid of messing with anything at this point.

So I believe it is safe to say that they might have extended the program all the way to September?

That was always the plan. May cohort = July start date. July cohort = September start date.

Im sorry I wasnt clear there, I meant they were supposed to start calling for interviews to the ones that got that email about "you are still under consideration" but I havent heard of anyone getting a call. I wonder if their IG post meant even interviews would be pushed to September.

I have this feeling that they aren't hiring external candidates for the September cohort... hope to be wrong though.

Right. Same. I wrote to the HR person who handled my app and I received no response so I think I kind of guessed that they're not considering me anymore
