Memorial Health Care Nurse Residency 2020

Hey everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the Memorial Healthcare Nurse Residency program in Hollywood, FL. I know that interviews should start in May so I thought it would be great if we could communicate here! I applied to the July 2020 cohort. Anyone else? I'm hoping for the NICU. What units did you guys select?

Hello. I applied for the July cohort as well. I don't anticipate that they will get back to us any time soon, unfortunately.

on their Instagram page It said that it will be postponed to September and that the November cohort is cancelled

Yes I'm aware, but they state they will let their selected candidates know sometime soon. It seems in the past MHS takes quite a while to inform the candidates if they are chosen so on top of a pandemic I wouldn't be surprised if they take even longer for this cohort.

Most if not all the hospitals in the area have instigated a hiring freeze. As of right now, Broward Health and MHS have both pushed their hiring dates to September. HCA is "aiming" for August. Hopefully these dates are subject to change. But don't count on it! ?

Hey everyone. I just got an email from MHS stating that the July Cohort is pushed back and that I am still under consideration. Interviews will also now hopefully be in July. Did everyone get this email?

I don't mind them interviewing us in July but I wish they could let the selected applicants know if they're "in" sooner. Being needlessly hopeful for so long sucks.

So true... I thought the email was only for applicants they decided to move forward with but it seems like it's a general email sent to everyone that applied.

I got the same email but I know a few people that haven't gotten it yet.

Does everybody application still says " Application being reviewed"

Yes. I figure it'll remain that way until July. I doubt they're even looking at our applications atm.
