What are you using for benchmarking for medication variance
What scale are you using to assess for fall risk in your pediatric population. Currently the rest of our hospital is using the Morres Scale but that is for adults
We are in the training process with Meditech. Our hospital was bought out by a hopital system that uses this system. We we using the Siemens system and that was very user friendly with many safety checks. I am finding it hard to believe how un user friendly meditech is and how little safety checks are in place in the EMAR system
You will defenitely need experience as an Rn in the L&D area. We just went through the same situation, RN to CNM without any L&D RN experience. None of the MDs would hire her and the nurses were having to teach her. Not Good! Good luck!

Sometimes as people are beginning to learn how to insert it is very easy to go throught the veins. I find it much easier to have people make the initial puncture right beside of the vein and then go into the vein. Basically, the more you do the easier it will get. Good Luck!
As far as I know there is no test to predict the onset of labor. If there were eveybody would have it and the person who invented it would be a "saint" and VERY rich! That is too long a trip to take at this late date.
I am looking for a web site that has examples of electronic fetal monitor strips that can be copied for use in education. Does anybody know of one. I would appreciate any help I can get.
