I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand
So finally i recieved my referral letter today! Phew! I'm looking forward to complete this course at IHNA Perth Campus. Can some tell me if I am making the right decision.
Have you enrolled in ihna already? Because they are closed now for this year. All their intakes are full for 2017. :-)
Instead of referral letter I was able receive this email:
Request for an extension of time in order to decide your application for general registration as a Registered Nurse
Thank you for lodging your application for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board). Your application is currently under assessment.
Under section 85 of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory (the National Law), if a Board or its delegate has not made a decision about your application by 15 June 2017, your application will automatically be refused unless an extension of this date is agreed upon.
Given that, we propose to extend this date until 13 September 2017.
If you agree to this extension please advise us in writing by 1 June 2017.
What do you think colleagues? Quite disappointed this time because you waited for more than a month and still no referral letter.
had the same experience... got the email sometime mid April and time for assessment was supposed to be until July 19 and was also disappointed upon receiving the email. But I shifted to optimism thinking that they might be considering my credentials and would recommend that I do not take the BP anymore... :-). But a week or so upon replying with the request for extension, they sent the LOR to a BP :-( .
Just agree to the extension and hope for the best.

I am not sure if declaring my Masters Degree affected my application though i believe being educated in the PH does not guarantee an exemption for BP and my experience using my USRN license would matter for them as well.
God bless us all. You are right, just hope fornthe best.
and which place process applications faster?
Hi @sunshineee28 you can mail your address at any AHPRA office. The addresses are given on AHPRA's website. It doesn't matter to which address you mail your application. I mailed my application to Perth but they assigned my application to some registration officer at Melbourne office. Just follow the checklist and everything shall be fine :) Good luck!
