Exactly right! For those who were considered on Dec 19, it's been too long (we were advised 15 working days). I'd advise you to write a letter to your RO and inform them that you'd like them to chase up the board on your behalf. Somehwere along the lines of: "as it has been more than a month, I am concerned" in a very polite manner. Jan 26 is Australia Day, a national holiday so AHPRA was closed -- hopefully it should push through soon.
Do not be embarrassed to express your concern to your RO's. They have been supportive in my case and constantly assure me that they would respind promptly.
Cheers!
Okay... Thank you.. I am at the peak of my excitement and suddenly "the delay" .... The thought of putting everything on hold for this
How many delays do i need to undergo still...
. The agony.... My patience is really running out...
Thank you.
Good day!
guys and gals!!! What did you consider the most in choosing your bridging school? Accommodation, weeks of study, speed of processing, requirements for entering, speed that will get you registered in AHPRA, tuition fee, family location, Others (please specify)... Thanks in advance to those who will answer... God Bless you all!
Anyone here who's application was considered last 19th of dec and still didnt receive their LOE??
Hi! Mine was considered on Dec 19 but got my LOE last Jan 21 already. Some more patience, you'll soon have it! :)
Btw, I only heard from my RO twice the whole process. One was when he introduced himself last Nov and one when he said my application was considered already and should wait 2-4 weeks more. I was so frustrated cos he doesn't reply to my queries. Lodged my application last May.
The wait will be worth it! :)
Hi Majal,
Choosing a provider for the bridging course is tricky. For me the clinical placement part was important, I wanted a provider that was able to offer at least 8 weeks of clinical placement and also a school that was upfront about where my placement would be and what areas i would be working. Soem providers told me i wouldnt know where clinicals would be until i started it scared me to know i may make all these plans and then end up in a different state i was also concerned this might mean the clinicals were not confirmed. The cost of this program is alot for me so i want to get the most out of it that i can so i can get a job after.

Ma'am Vickynurse,
Have you found the school that met your criteria? I definitely agree with you.
just wanna share my timeline guys, I just got my LOE tonight after years of agony!
28/01/15 LOE
10/01/14 2nd application for BP
13/10/13 enrolled in a student visa572
04/01/13 rejection (misunderstanding)
07/12 Papers lodge (1st application BP)
31/03/12 took ielts
03/11 Reg. as Nurse in PH
12/10 took NLE
So what happened to me was pretty devastating.
I had sought help from a dodgy migration agency name mcnally back in 2012, and since I finished my Bachelors Degree in a "College" school in the Philippines, ahpra mistook my application as eligible even after I've sent all my documents, nursing registration, Transcripts and Course Syllabus/Descriptions. Ahpra then gave me an option to make an "appeal" or a "withdrawal" back then. But since I didn't knew anything about the processes before, my agent deceived me to withdraw my application instead, and enrolled me in a cert.3 tafe course to get a student visa and get to Australia.
upon arriving to oZ I've learned that i should've made a letter of "appeal" instead to explain to ahpra that in the PH, "Colleges" and "Universities" are just different terms used but still provides the same Bachelors Degree.
With only 2 months left before my IELTS expires, I was able to made my application, then to only found that Ahpra apparently halt their process for a year.
Through my stay here in Melbourne, I've learned that a couple of our countrymen also fell prey to these dodgy agents. It's quite sad to know that some of us wasted a long time and also huge amounts of money and ending in an awful situation.
I'm now planning to enroll with ACFE, because they're the ones who helped me get up again and apply for BP, they were proof that there still filos that can be trusted besides what happened to me. I hope that no other individual falls prey to dodgy agents.
hi there! i know how you feel. i was deceived as well by a filipino nurse who was a teacher at AAON. after he got my payment, he kept on moving me to the next intake and even transferred me to acfe with only 3 months left b4 my LOE would expire. then i realized that by the time my iron would end, it would already be after the expiration date. i tried asking for an extension from ahpra but they said no. i withdrew all my money given to a-ctec by threatening efforts of suing them and reporting to nbi, i got staggered refunds in 4 months time. after which i took again ielts sept of 2013, submitted my papers to ahpra the 2nd time in dec same year, got affected with the new assesment process, finally received 2nd loe end of nov 2014, and now i will commence my iron at ihna next month.
i hope everything will go on smoothly this time for both of us.
never lose hope and always believe in God that all things happen for a purpose.
